Not sure it is possible to channel this stock effectively. - It seems far too un-predictable. Yes it has been up and down a lot.... but very difficult to figure a pattern. - any thoughts?
I have been able to channel this a little over the past couple of months. - Taking some profit on the way up - buying back on big dips like today. - Good luck to all.
Analyst like to put out price targets about 10% above current trading prices so they look good if a stock goes up and not too bad if it goes down (then they lower their target after the fact. -) It's about time for some higher targets! :)
Would you take a large position in a company (over 16% and growing) without having influence on the direction that the company is headed? - Ariel is not that large of a fund. This investment is significant for them. Unless they see a short term financial exit I would think they would be very interested in the long term management and direction that their investment is directed by.
They must be buying again today given the volume. - Must figure that the price had "settled down" enough to begin accumulating again. I wonder when they will look for more board seats and total control?
Guess everyone is waiting to see what the next couple of quarters bring after restructuring. - Could make an interesting take over target now. (even more so since lots of operations have been outsourced) $4.75 to $5 per share might get a deal done - Thoughts?
Coal has been a big drag on TE - If it wasn't for that earning would have increased nicely. - With the new rate increase in place and bottoming of coal prices - this looks like a good place to park some cash and get 5% plus while you wait for commodity prices (cal) to rebound.
