you are forgetting amd is about price , CHEAP price
Hey wanna buy some kaveris for a deal ?
Remember the hype on that one , you will just look foolish on Carrizo too.
it might not make it into history if its going to coming out about mar 2016 . If a settlement with GF in not concluded who will even make it ? it has to be presold so the customer has to have faith in AMD hahahahahhaha , long odds .
yeah thanks for the news more complicated and expensive to produce
More products like the stuff where the volume is evaporating . Old chips piling up in storage that's invited out for a third dance. Software givaways ???? what do you mean ?
I guess I will give mine . Its almost certainly going to fall as it goes to a lesser exchange . How much is just a guess but .50 cents is pretty sure and that's a minimum.
We know its happening , they told us .
more about Broadwell , it has launched its now waiting for sometime maybe in 2016. Its even 30% more efficient than the last intel chip. Do you expect companies to wait for AMD ?
In early January, Intel launched its fifth-generation of core processors—Broadwell—for PCs and top-end laptops. It offers higher performance, longer battery life, and improved graphics capabilities—compared to its fourth-generation predecessors.
Interesting features aimed to push upgradation
Broadwell is built on 14nm rather than 22nm. This implies that its CPU (central processing unit) is physically smaller. It translates to less power requirements. However, it maintains the same clock frequency.
As a result, Broadwell processors—that run on Microsoft (MSFT) Windows—are expected to be more power efficient and cooler than their predecessor, Haswell. Laptop users will find this to be good news. It will provide a 30% longer battery life, all else being equal. Intel has the policy of upgrading its processors every 12–18 months.
no amd's problem is they are way way behind their competitor , and having made bad decisions are in deep debt and at this point maybe could be losing chances at orders due to possible instability. The question in the minds could be will amd be able to deliver my goods ? The GF story is in the news , BofA story etc. That's the problem amd has to turn the company around just to be considered in my opinion.
Its kind of late ! Also intel is bringing out broadwell soon so any dreams of amd longs are back to nightmares. Need any free samples ??? I am good buddies with Intel just ask hahahahaha
I don't think you have to convince a lot of us that amd longs are not deep thinkers. Even the dullest see the gov't reports of the debt amd is struggling with. What if credit becomes an issue which I am sure its become already. It costs GF or any chip maker a lot to do a run and it takes a minimum amount of volume . Can amd meet the volume ? I think not ! The speed of the death spiral has dramatically increased .
AMD has to take the big dive very soon or just fade away . Nothing is working ( except those 2 secret customers they are ( making chips ) for maybe . It has to be a max 30 days from today ? Ohh don't forget B0fA. Even if they went BK today who would make their chips for them ? Seems kind of hopeless AMDtards buy buy buy .
AND THIS ONLY CAUSED A DIP IN ITS EARNINGS ...ITS BEAUTIFUL !!!! So, what exactly is contra revenue? Contra revenue is Intel giving away its Bay Trail chips to OEMs (original equipment manufacturers). It intends to push its chips in the market. It wants to gain tablet market share.
How contra revenue led to negative revenue
Let’s just assume a single Bay Trail chip costs $20. This makes 40 million “samples”—the company’s estimates to ship in 2014—worth ~$800 million. Let’s assume the cost of these parts is another $400 million. This makes a total loss of $1.2 billion because Intel is giving away these chips.
As a result, contra revenue—the amount Intel is paying to OEMs to integrate its chip, Bay Trail—actually led the segment to record negative revenue. The negative revenue is due to the costs and subsidies involved with Bay Trail.
They MAY wow that's real precision reporting hahahaha look at the clock its moving to where amd MAY run out of money and go bk. The latter is a much better guess as we know how bad amd is doing.
Just before the end Kavari iv will appear . In the end the kaviris may be used instead of salt on icy streets.
its the old saying CHEAP IS EXPENSIVE ..... NICE GOING APPLE , giving those that pay the most far from the best ?
the amd stock would now be higher priced than apple
who wants to buy product from a loser ? margins and sales would quadruple right away.
Lineups to grab kaveri's while they are still in stock .
hehehehe you mean homeless people without a computer ? kaveri might be good to scratch off the lice.
hmmm wonder if overclockers building their own computers like leftovers ?
how many ONE server ? They didn't say they bought it, ARE USING IT , free sample ?
AMDtards sharpen up ! If they sold them even a paulty million dollars worth they would be boasting . Nice going wory 340 million dollar purchase .
Yes same message I believe soon amd will protect themselves with seeking BK to give themselves a chance to
come back. Being frozen without enough funds even if amd had a product that would sell they can't get it out there. Kaveri 2.0 ha that's a good one !
Nvidia is a winner in that it makes money . Big up in profits at last earnings . Gaming cards were killed by amd when they dropped the prices long ago and killed the business. Nvidia is going for the auto industry now and has a chance to make it big. AMD is in another league hovering between life and death without hope.
Losing 5 cents without paying due obligations is not losing only 5 cents. Where is the news what deal if any has been reached with creditors?
