I presume he exercised those options with a same day sale so he wouldn't have to put up cash.
Using the options may be obligatory, but the selling of the shares isn't, but unless you have cash its easier to do a same day sale so you don't have to put money in.
Cisco is a special case. They got totally reamed by the contamination of Snowden and the NSA. Makes it so the foreign governments are very leery of any american company for key infrastructure the NSA might get into.
They have saturated a lot of their markets. What happens when you are really big.
but also intel csco msft are such large companies their stocks become proxies for the American market and i think some funds flush money though them like crazy to get their risk-on, risk-off trades.
I coiuldn't find the full story on the craig-hallum coverage, but I see its on their alpha select list for companies with market cap under 250million. Looks like harry boxer resistance at 4.5 was taken out as quickly as anticipated.
very strange calx is down in afterhours on about 10,000 shares and zhne is up on 2000 shares.
I believe most after hours trading is duplicitous anyhow.
Seems calx had very good comparison to the year before, My overall impression is that calx and zhone are seeing the same overall improvements in their revenues and gross margins, but I think calx(before gaap adjustments) did better than zhone being more concentrated in USA
Sure calx did well but should their ps be so much higher than zhone?
he is woofing shmoke, secondary is totally out in left field.
If they didn't do a secondary just right they could screw up the billion in nols.
The goal is to ramp up earnings steadily to use the nols.
(net operating losses)
the earnings move was roughly 3.25- 4.25,
that puts the middle of the gap at 3.75.
Since the earnings and forward guidance were basically all strong I expect to stay in the top half of that gap.
3.89 was intraday high a month ago.
I'm guessing it won't fall much below that
my current theory of zhone is simple. It will move up a buck for every good earnings.
my guess for friday trading(i plan to sleep though most of it)
ramp down to 3.80 first 20 minutes
back to 4.50 midday
then down to 4.20, then spike up 5+
close between 4.75 and 4.99.....
over 5 millions shares will trade
Please just take your seat before the show begins. 1 1/2 more trading days till the call.
the price is just noise till earnings are out.
Remember the inflection point llc article "Despite Doubling, Zhone Offers Upside To $8-10 In 12-18 Months"?
Looks like seekingAlphaPro hides their articles to the unpaid after 30 days...
Did anyone take notes or remember the main points.
make that search "undergroud alert" on all message boards
You will find they issue many alerts a day each with about 50 "thumbs up"
truly a pathetic club.
another poster wrote about them:
Underground Stock Alerts have many complaints against their so call investment predictions.
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Due your own due diligence.
When you see 48 thumbs up in 1 day you know it's a scam
search the yahoo boards for undergroundalert.
I see they put out a buy for for corg on aug28, it had a "spike" that lasted 1 day.
I estimate their "buying power is 4million x 5c about 200,000$ dollars
it was at 2c, their target price was 1$, its now trading below a penny,
Some comments about that pump operation from yahoo...
yep if you dont get in within the first 20 seconds dont even bother
Exactly they bought before the pump and then sold after all the suckers bought on their buy recommendation.
looks like the pump and dump club posters have arrived.
My belief that there is a school of "leemings" who gang on a stock at instruction of their pump club overload to short it, armed with thier "hit paper".
I bet the shorts "pay" the lemming masters to engage the club..
am I sounding like grant, all whacky and paranoid?
no need to scream sell sell sell when you make a trade.
If you have a actual "reason" you would have said what it is.
Seems to me the shortys are trying too hard to talk down the stock. Guess they want to cover before the call.
OK, by "no business" you mean they aren't developing software products for sale.
I can accept that.
When I hear someone say no business, I parse it like
someone saying "get down to business" ,"have no business", or best of all "its only business" as per godfather.
I think there is a misunderstanding about "no business in SDN" means.
"Operators have long sought the freedom and flexibility that Software-Defined Networks bring," said Brian Caskey, chief marketing officer at Zhone Technologies. "Zhone Technologies continues to analyze SDN requirements, while evolving and maturing its commitment to the OpenFlow Standard and other evolving SDN standards to address the needs of its commercial and service provider customers and their deployments on a global basis."
?no business? i have no clue what you mean
How do you get a zhone product to work with an sdn standard?
you are going to recode firmware.
You are blowing smoke when you say
"ZHNE has no business in SDN itself, which is purtly software."
