On December 6, 2013, Michael D. Winn resigned as a director of TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. (the "Company") due to increased time commitments with his family's business ventures. Mr. Winn's resignation was not the result of any disagreements with the Company regarding its operations, policies or practices.
I will apply for the Director's position. It seems to be the only way to make money in TAT.
Logically, how long does one sit on the dead or deteriorating gamble, while the rest of the market is setting record closing price almost on the daily basis. When comparing charts of the TAT and S&P for the last several years.....well, my real opinion would not be allowed on the public message board. TAT is stable enough to stay flat for years, kind of like a team that finishes in the middle every year and in every draft picks in the middle.
But I am a stubborn idiot enough to stay, that is until I realy need the money.
Someone is selling today.
Ooops!! Did I do that ? I am sorry.
Please do not sell !!! TAT is a great company with great management. All it needs is U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis and Bureau of Labor Statistics to do their reports and investor relations.
Please stay !!!
Ahhh!! serenity. Would be nice to stay asleep a little longer. Few downers, few antidepressants a joint and few drinks may help. :)
I am afraid that after we wake up, TAT will report as usual- Bellow expectations.
I hope I am wrong about TAT at least once.
It is another wonderful day in Zamunda.
Our investment still has a buoyancy of the brown and smelly matter, but at least it is floating.
The end of the year approaching fast. Is there a reason why TAT will not be sold heavy to book losses ?
Markets have been going parabolic while TAT has been producing losers. An offset of the profits from the market gains seems to be in order. Am I wrong ?
P.S. if not HAPPY HOLIDAYS for the TAT shareholders, let them be HEALTHY HOLIDAYS.
We had three years to see if they deliver. What they do from here on out, does not diminish the fact that TAT screwed us, up until now. When and if TAT delivers, I will be very thankful.
Exciting information. Sea of oil and gas. Now if only TAT could find some oil and/or gas in the middle of all this Sea of oil and gas.
This type of presentation may work for a price of the stock of a company that has at least some credibility.
Now, throw it all out of the window and show me some profit, consistent increase in production and may be an announcement of a share buyback.
Notwithstanding, thank you TAT management. It is too late, most of the shareholders have left, but more frequent updates are appreciated.
I am sure Schroeder has more inside knowledge than we do. My feel is but for a divine intervention, TAT will be treading water for a long time.
Schroeder principals' just like TAT management"s livelihood is not dependent on this stock price. They can wait. For the majority of shareholders who stay, it may continue to be a death by thousand paper cuts.
Three years ago I was saying - Its ok, I am in TAT for a long haul. Now I am listening to the others saying - I am in TAT for a long term. Sometimes history repeats itself.
"I don't know why they stick around if they think the company will not perform."
Can you imagine Schroder Investment trying to get out of TAT position. Who is capable and willing to buy 32 million shares of TAT from them, and at what price?
1. A lot of investors use technical indicators.
2. TAT's history is all we have to go by, and that history is not pretty.
3. If TAT screws up in Bulgaria, Jethro Clampett becomes a viable alternative for TAT CEO position.
If you ever saw "Gung Ho" with Michael Keaton, you remember Kazuhiro wear "ribbons of shame". I can justify ribbons of shame for MM.
"It's all based on how many shares get bought vs sold today, and that is driven by emotion right now."
Technical indicators are emotional indicators.
Recently released data confirms that TAT systematically comes in below analyst expectations in revenues and profit. TAT price is already discounted based on the information. Now we are just slowly trending down because technical indicators are awful. IMO
There is a saying - balls interfere with bad dancer.
The simplest explanation is - TAT is a badly managed company. It consistently comes short of estimates and surprises on the negative side. It constantly finds excuses for underachievement. I personally do not trust anything TAT says until it is confirmed by SEC filing.
The only improvement I see at this time is mid -quarter updates.
mad, it is exciting isn't it. This is is quite a profit even in two years...... and then I woke up and TAT was still trading around .80 on 200,000 daily volume. Well, it was a nice dream. :)
A reasoning like this will get you broke. You may buy a million $ worth of TAT. It would spike the price. But there is no one to sell a million dollars worth of TAT. It would drop the price to the new lows.
should be accompanied by complementary bottle of Prozac and a free weekly visit to psychiatrist.
Now that TAT shareholders can not afford health insurance will Medicaid cover it ?
Mad, it looks like here comes another chance to "average down". Absent purchases from MM, TAT will trend down until next report. IMO
You are our only hope. :)
