Many really positive things from the earnings call and the positives happeing for TA
I particularly liked the way they handled the questions about TA benefiting from the FBI raid and brand tarnih that is taking place at FlyingJ. When asked if they are going after FJs customers or if they see an uptick in cuatomers they avoided the question. This tells me two things: 1) They do expect a nice uptick but aremt going to signal their plans to FlyingJ to plot a counter strategy to keep customers. 2) if for some unbeknownst reason they hadnt been aggressively going after FlyingJ customers, they will definitely be doing so now since they know the analysts are asking about it and will continue to ask about it.
Personally, I think we are sandbagging on how rich the opportunity really could be with FJ imploding. But arent ready to fire off alerts to the street or FlyingJ just yet. -

High teens by summer (next few months). I think we'll recoup the price we lost yesterday within the next few days. The earnings were good. TA is often misunderstood due to the seasonality of their business. In reading the transcripts from yesterday - I think it was actually wise for Obrein to not comment on the FlyingJ stuff. Had he done so, the analyst would be looking for higher numbers in Q2. The fact of the matter is that the FlyingJ thing is SO NEW and although TA is clearly taking customers away from FlyingJ at this time, it doens't make any sense to advertise it to FlyingJ and other competitors. The best is yet to come with this - there is no way that TA and Loves won't benefit greatly from the Flying J Fallout. The Board Members and investors of many of these trucking companies will force these companies to reevaluate their relationship with FlyingJ if they haven't done so already.

So here we are again boys - earnings time. Lets see who can get closest to tomorrows share price after earnings are announced. My bet is 14.00. Again, momentum or as they say investment word, "the catalysts" that will take us higher are all in place. Move to Nyse, flyingj in trouble, shell deal in place, oil prices down, added more sites, etc etc. It will also be very telling to see how many more analysts join the call tomorrow in large part due to the added exposure from the nyse move. Place your bets boys.

Tadpoledick- its a logical thought for an investor to have but remember that TA is really be run by reit called HPT. These guys are attorneys, finance people, and real estate experts. Not to mention they are publicly traded unlike flyingj.

Ya, I dont see them moving it around this quarter. As said yesterday, we bottomed at 11. You dont strategically move to the NYSE and then throw up a shitturd for earnings. Itll be good. 12-14 near term. -

Bottom is 11 now were back up to 14-15 range. This flyingj thing is absolutely awesone for us. They have 13000 fleet customers. Even 1% of those converting to TA is massive.

The FBI raid is just icing on the cake for TA. Already seeing new fleet customers visit their pumps and getting fat on soda's and chips in the store.

Doggiestyle- obviously if there is not a TA in the area than they wont have the option - but it works a little bit different than that shitey chevy impala you drive with less than a quarter tank of gas. These are tankers that hold massive amounts of fuel. Truckers are use to holding a dump and will plan their routes well in advance.
