It doesn't matter - perception is everything to Greenies. For example, the Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) is beloved by Greenies because it uses marginally less power than an equivalent lumens incandescent bulb. But CFLs have mercury in them - a toxic, heavy metal that turns a CFL into a hazardous waste spill when it breaks! LOL. But the Greenies LOOOOOVE them!
Similarly, natural gas is composed mostly of methane, which is a greenhouse gas with many magnitudes impact on the atmosphere than CO2. But still, the Greenies LOOOOVE natural gas! And that's all that matters.
You poor shorts! The ruling regime hates shorts - unless you're shorting gold, then they love ya!
You should put in a short sell order this very night - good til cancelled. You should margin it, too!
I take it you are short? It's too bad that the ruling regime hates short sellers - unless you're short gold. They love to depress the price of gold. If you want to short something, consider shorting GLD.
I take it you are short, and will now be forced to cover at, like, $15 per share when it opens on Monday?
I'm sorry, but you've completely missed the point. It means that some private entity can waltz right in, now, and purchase this company at ~$15+ and not have to worry about paying off some high-priced financing. The fair value of this company is in excess of $15, and it WILL be bought out!
I take it you are short, and will now be forced to cover on Monday at, like, $15 per share?
Do you really trust the management to be able to perform its duties - to extract metal from the ground at a profit? I know the previous management was totally incompetent to perform this function - but do we have any evidence that current management is any more competent?
She hates coal, and she is a member of the governing elite.
Exactly. Shorts can't cover until trading resumes. And the price might resume trading at... $15+ !!!! LOL
Coal has been doomed since November 2012.
Anti-coal political administration will nix any coal company consolidation. The Obama-ites want to kill coal.
Liza, I'm gonna give you a small lifeline of hope here: it's possible that this thing will be taken private at - maybe, $14 per share? - I hope you bought in below that.
Mid-13's, more likely

$13.66 - announcement of a private buyout offer.
LOL. You mis-placed the decimal point. I suspect it's actually $6.90
Natural gas production is subsidized by the U.S. government - the producers get some sort of tax credits, yes? Therefore, they can still make a profit, even if they take a loss on the actual extraction of NG. Just another example of how interference by Government skews markets.
