Tell us how that AGEN deal works out for you.
i guess you weren't on this board when those results came out a few months ago, but we went over it on this board.
My theory on the mediocre price action when AGEN reported those results was because Scott Mattsow wrote an article telling people to buy AGEN for the results shortly before the results came out and everyone did. when the results came out, the traders that listened to his advice dumped all the shares.
All you have to do is check out the date of that article (if its still posted on Seeking Alpha) and follow AGEN's volume on the date of publication and the following days. it was disgraceful, Im not in AGEN but I saw that happen and it really upset me. if i was long AGEN with a lot of money, i would be have been very upset. and like alot of the retail investors that follow SM's advice also got burnt on that if they weren't fast enough to get out. it was just a lose/lose situation for everyone except the author and a few people that grabbed a few smalll percentage points and bailed.
Anyway, my point is: AGEN has been in the sights of Seeking Alpha manipulators and i would be very careful with that one. if youre not long and willing to buy on the dips, good luck , otherwise i would be very very cautious with that one. I dont know enough about AGEN though. but since youre in it, you should already know if it a bargain or not from your research and weighing the pros/cons of owning the stock.
Have fun. :)
probably going to get played by your Seeking Alpha manipulators and I'll just sit and laugh. You've had numerous times to buy this stock since last Nov or Dec of last year, it was just $2 a few weeks ago and then a SA article comes by and everyone starts coming here. lolo, lemmings. you get what you deserve.
has anyone noticed that AGEN and IMUC are not the same? Hmm? no?
ok whatever, there're all immuotherapy right? durp.
Red Acre Investment ?? lolololololololol AAAAAAAAAAAhhhhh, that newsletter is right next to my Larry Smith newsletter, in the trash. Red Acre Investment !!!! you better stop the nonsense and do your own research, decide for yourself.
basic portifolio management, dont be silly and buy too much of 1 stock. no matter how wonderful/beautifull it is.
their posts really dwindled when IMUC went down to $2 back in the summer . . .so ?
wish em good luck anyway.
Run over to them and listen to their opinion then, lemming. and think about it, if their opinion counted for anything do you really think they would be writting for per clicks? Or do you think they'd be working at a major firm willing to invest millions on their opinions?
I know what i bought awhile ago. i dont need a nobody spreading nonsense. Sick of the Larry Smiths, scott matusows or some no name investor newsletter from a person analysising their picks from a paid service while in their PJs.
there is just too much missing info to do an estimate now or predict a product launch, if there is even going to be one. the results will fill in the gaps but to listen to seeking alpha amateurs or even professional analysts right now is silly.
But fear and the unknown create good opportunities for those willing to take a shot at high risk biotech.
anyway, if you don't know the reputation of the analyst giving the price target or understand how they came to the target you are setting yourself up for trouble. this isn't rocket science, if you have been following the IMUC story, you can just listen to past conference calls and listen to some of their questions at the end of the call and see how relevant their questions were to major events going on with IMUC at the time of the conference call. find out what other their stocks they cover/have covered and keep gathering info on them to see how reliable their opinion is.
But i cannot keep emphasizing the need to critically examine any info retail gathers from Seeking Alpha writers who are interested in "promoting" something for self interest and profit.
Im in under 1.70 from the bottoms of NOV offering, Im relaxing. been on this board actively for a year or little more. You though,I don't recognize.
Now lets talk about Pantginis, what other stocks does he actively covered? What's Roth's Captial's interest in putting out opinions on IMUC? What's their holding in IMUC? How long has Pantginis been actively been covering IMUC? Is there a Roth Capital analyst underling that is feeding him info? Whats their name of that analyst? What stock does that person cover? Do you think that analyst does a good job?
retail, you look at a name and don't question it.. just go with the trend. Whatever.
I was on this board just a few weeks ago telling people to buy when the longs were heading for the door when this sunk to $2, don't tell me about getting frustrated.
How long have you been here? a week? you wait til this goes down some and tell me about frustration. Wait a minute, you can tell it to some of the longs that bought this last summer and have held this that believe in IMUC's story and are still hoping to recoup their money.
And where was Seeking Alpha authors when IMUC was down in the dumps from that offering? Where was Nichols that was promoting it all summer last year? where was anyone? Nowhere. i did my own work and saw it as an opportunity.
F Seeking Alpha manipulators with their agendas and nonsense. And Roth Capital lolololol you think they're squeaky clean? lolol good luck. Do your own research.
put some more effort into your research and stay away from the "articles". good luck
about time, they finally got a dermatologist.
for the love of *** finally, management did something good.
now what to do with the shoe salespeople, hmmmm what to do? indeed. lolol
this is silly ed,
how can you sell something to a specific crowd and not understand their wants, needs and opinions? well, that's what you had with mela, look at their board . . . shoe salespeople and retail sellers. . tell me if their strategy has worked so far.
they switch to the another ID and cry like a child. retail.
Don’t take this personally but if you can’t look at a balance sheet and figure this one out for yourself. . really good idea to pass on this stock and go with something less volatile/ safer like the major well known household named companies that aren’t in financial distress and doing ok while you improve your analytical skills.
Don’t worry about missing out on a stock run up or whatever, there will be other opportunities.
hope your jumping from one stock to another is working out for you. good luck with your research on your next trade
Eh, I’m fair and I keep it simple. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong and I’ll be the first to say “I’m wrong”. I’m a newbie also but I’ve been ACTIVELY following this stock on a regular basis for over a year now so I more or less know what’s going on and know when others are leaving out important details, ie Larry Smith and other so called "experts"
But yeah, it’s the same message over and over again but no one listens and I’m even tired of saying it. Just killing some time inbetween researching some potential stocks here.
I also don't have an agenda and couldn't care if someone bought or sold whatever I’m in, but if they can’t understand what they're buying into, they're setting themselves up for a mistake. This person can’t read a balance sheet nor look up a burn rate so although you know I’ve been long this asset awhile, I would never recommend it to them in good faith.
The research isn't rocket science, it just takes times and effort. If they’re not willing to or do not know how to draw up the simple pros/cons of an asset then they can’t determine if that asset fits into their financial plan . . .so they are setting themselves up for a fall.
They could have looked at the balance sheet, looked at the nasdaq site to look at IMUC's recent offerings, looked at news posting for the ATM news, checked IMUCs SEC filings, checked the IMUC website for info, I mean there is a list of things they could have done before asking this. Notice I didn’t include anything related to Seeking Alpha or any bloggers?
It just shows zero effort or zero knowledge on how to look for info. And this isn’t dealing with complex accounting ratios or statistics but ABC take the time to learn something about a potential investment.
I would tell them to do more research on this stock and actively get on the board and ask questions or bring up some ideas to see what a few people think of their thesis and come up with their own work.
But bring a thesis, bring something.
i answered your question.
you need to refer back to the balance sheet-cash balance on the recent quarterly update then look at the quarterly burn rate for the past few quarters.
Check the current events of IMUC's ATM offering and see for how much it was for.
then look at a transcript or listen to the recent conference call to see how much of that ATM has been sold, i don't have the number off the top of my head. good luck.

Since you’ve been here awhile but more importantly, you post meaningful ideas, I’ll try to entertain you.
I definitely disagree with your risk/reward ratio analysis because if I’m not mistaken, IMUC’s approach of dealing with IL-13Ra2 is in more than 1 drug candidate in IMUC’s pipeline. So if ICT107 doesn’t work well, the pipeline is dead and this stock will be in pain.
If a potential investor isn’t willing to go long and I mean well past the upcoming results. . .which is up in the air of course, they're not going to make a lot but will be risking a lot more. The real money will come after the results come out (if they are favorable of course) and after the traders and Cantor sell into the news and depress share price.
Retail will be asking why is the stock down when/if the results are favorable but there will be too many sellers waiting for the event, ie the Cantor folks. Now, what if a Seeking Alpha writer like everyone’s favorite biotech blogger Scott Matusow does what he did to AGEN with IMUC in addition to the Cantor offering?
Scott wrote an article that news was imminent on a trial and told everyone they should buy into the stock, well, everyone bought shares up a few days before the news hit and dumped all the shares when the results came and the longs were left scratching their heads as to what happened. Its just too many sellers were waiting for the news and the same thing is here at IMUC where all you see is “when are the results coming? When are the results coming?” And less on what’s actually happening with the company.

And to be honest, if someone doesn’t know the ins and out of this company and doesn’t have the experience to recognize a bargain when they see it, they will break at the downward pressure and sell when they should be buying. Either they have #$%$ portfolio management skills or don’t know what’s going on. We saw this recently with the IMUC longs second guessing themselves and bailing when IMUC went to $2 then shot up over $3.
There are also too many retail investors here that can be easily manipulated by a simple Seeking Alpha writer who doesn’t have a clue but wants to move the stock price. This was why I tried to talk about IMUC issues here on the yahoo board months ago to stay ahead of the BS Seeking Alpha/blogger manipulating articles but retail drowned out the real posters here.
