Usually when you have a reverse split the stock price doubles. Why are you saying we will have half the shares yet the share price will be cut in half as well. If the 130 billion simple offsets the value lost to Vodafone
in selling VZW then the deal is a wash. If they give me 17 a share and take 17 a share away who benefits from the deal? It was said they were rewarding shareholders with the payouts. It would make sense that the share price would drop when dividends were given, as always happens, but why also the halving of shares.
This all does not make sense. It appears nothing was really gained by the sale in real value but the income was lost by Vodafone going forward. They would not have made a deal that was so disadvantageous to themselves and to all of us....would they? Something seems rotten in the state Denmark and England too if none of
us really profit by this. Yet the lack of a strong rally in the stock price makes me wonder why
others are not gobbling this up and I fear I am feeling I just got hoodwink by the hidden pea trick.
I HAVE 1000 shares. If I Will get 17000 from divvy and VZ shares why would I even consider selling even if I pay the 20 percent tax? I still get 13600. On an investment of 31000 that seems terrific. Then if Att buys it is the wow factor.
I would be happy if it was at 5 in the next year. Fifty is a pipe dream to me. This bank has a long way to go and the majority owner is the government. 50? Not I'm my lifetime.
Until we know why this stock is rising so fast everything we say is noise. The shorts yap at it, the longs squeal in delight while the shorts buy back. But why is this stock moving? There has to be an answer and it must be in a surprise at Lindberg, there is buyout speculation or the pipeline is near to approval and the end of it will be at their backdoor. There has to be an explanation as to why this is doing so well and I see no facts here to hang a hat on. So, we know nothing but I am enjoying the ride.
The move is too strong not to have some underlying speculation behind it. Pipeline? Lindbergh potential explosive? Chinese or other buyout interest? The only other thing I can think of is traders choosing it for a run up and dump which I hope is not the case.
