?Mr. P, it may surprise you that that $100 million bill for a week long trip that you keep complaining about is less than 1% of the DAILY federal government spending of about $11 billion. (And $100 million is probably a huge over estimate) I assume that it would greatly surprise you because if you were really worried about government spending, you would have complained much more loudly about lots of other, much more expensive spending, otherwise.
Quite an interesting title for Mr. Tail's twisted words!
Not a single new job was created??
Was the bridge simply built by magic? Or do you just mean that no one in Texas knew how to build the bridge, so you had to bring people in from Arkansas to do the job?
For sure! The supreme Court is going to call it unconstitutional any day now.. Oh, wait a minute.....
A good idea. Let's start with your second sentence, "if half of the US don't pay fed taxes ..." But, of course, almost 100% of us pay some sort fo federal taxes. If not income taxes because their income is so low, then payroll taxes for social security and medicare, excise taxes on gasoline, cigarettes, and alcohol. And at the state and local levels sales taxes, property taxes, fuel taxes, estate taxes, and more. Because of all these taxes, many people making $30K a year pay taxes at an overall rate that is higher than the overall rate that millionaires like you and mitt Romney pay.
well, if they become citizens, work at jobs paying minimum wage and better, and pay taxes, then they should be paying their own way - just as you pay your own way with your taxes. Or are you saying that you don't really pay your own way either?
And why should we give Christian Fundamentalists a break at all? Let's see. They shot people in 1984, 1993, 1994, 1998, 2009, and more. They bombed people in Atlanta, Oklahoma City, and elsewhere. They ran cars into health clinics, and threatened doctors and killed them, as well. Yeah, there's no reason to have any mistrust of fundamentalists is there? When a vast majority of terrorist attacks in American are delivered by one group, profiling makes perfect sense.
Oh, wait, does the Constitution have anything to say about this?
It's not a bad job, if you can get it. Spend 7 years pulling the foundation out from under the economy, but get your timing off just a bit so the crash and first year of real economic problems happens before you leave. And get paid a half million a year to do it, too. Then get a big pension and secret service protection while your successor cleans up the mess. A perfect record of failed business leadership, while making many millions for his efforts..

"a diatribe of incoherence" - except for the fact that he appears to have gone to a school where they still teach basic arithmetic. It is absolutely impossible to be a rational conservative, until you can at least read and do basic arithmetic. Unless, conservatives have now changed their philosophy to one of made up stories, imagined data, and no use of mathematics or scientific observation.
So a conservative shows his real feelings - "the state will survive" - at the expense of the citizens. Where have we heard that before??
Is he from Mississippi, Louisiana, West Virginia,. Alabama,. Michigan,. Oklahoma,. Arkansas,. Indiana,. South Carolina,. Kentucky, or. Texas? Those are the 10 most overweight states, where 1 in 3 can't walk across the street without losing their breath.
And sstail, you'd prefer that 75% think the economy sucks?
Let's chose a Republican solution to the economy, like that used by Reagan and GWB If we has done that, and doubled the national debt as those 2 did,, the debt would already be $25 trillion, and that's if they hadn't sent troops to Syria, which would have added another couple trillion to the debt. But the economy would be a little better, because a lot more of the unemployed would be fighting in the Middle East.
You mean like GWB cleaned up after Clinton? It took him 2 terms to finish the job, but he finally got it done. And now we need someone to do the same thing again?

Yes, SS, I'm sure you would be ashamed to live in such a state - And also be happy to live in a state with just 300,000 on welfare, and 600,000 on food stamps, and a population of 1 million souls.
It's certainly a typo. He meant Republicans, as that's the only party that includes ALL of those types.
Forget the state by state part. Those red state types don't want any government oversight, regulation, or interference, anyway. So, forget it. Don't inspect any red state factories , industrial sites, restaurants, or schools there. Just send the inspectors north to the blue states where safe working and living places are more appreciated. It'll save money and make everyone happier. They just don't want unions or government inspections to make their work places safer, so let's just not do it there. Let them live (maybe) their lives as they wish. Letting them and their companies do it their way there should perhaps be their right.
And Republicans are not having any kids because they don't know how to. So, the result is the old white Republicans are becoming a smaller and smaller proportion of the population, outnumbers more and more by Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and others, who still have what it takes.
So, what the heck is a "soddynationalsuspect"? A North Dakota plowman turning over the sod to grow marijuana? a drunken Republican presidential candidate? a dirty, homeless hill country man looking for care in the ER? a misplaced Oklahoma City massacre witness?
Amazing how few people here speak or write English anymore!
Yes, and all NRA members, like sstail, are standing up now and cheering, as is their right. Those guys in Sandy Hook, Aurora, and Tuscon were able, through solid NRA efforts, to get any and all firearms and ammunition that they wanted
Sadly, today's "hunters" require much more for 6 year olds. Dreadfully sad.
