Dow red by -215, LVS is GREEN.
I thought you said this was going to the 40's?
Much talk on CNBC about the bell weather stocks getting hit and doing technical damage to the market. I see this as a positive for LVS. Macau is a $$$$$ printing press, pure and simple. Investors will start to flow money in LVS direction as the US economy continues to appear weak.
As the good quarters keep piling up, investors will take over and crush the crooks and option players.
Down market and we are almost even! 180 degree turn from how LVS acted 6 months ago. It's amazing what 2 consecutive quarters of good earnings will do for you.
Next quarter, 3 consecutive quarters and it will move to the 60's easily, and 1 year of good quarters and 70's and 80's are defiantly in the cards.
Have you ever noticed how cockroaches run and hide when you turn a light on or walk into the room.
'Casino & Sizzlin are the message board cockroaches.
LVS drops, they are all over the place. Just like a dark room.
LVS shows strength, they run and hide. Just like turning the light on.
I have also noticed they are here at the same time, usually answering each others post.
Kinda makes you think they are one in the same.
Come on guys, just stop the nonsense and realize stocks go up, and down, and LVS is best in breed, on it's way to the 70's by year end, and stop the noise already.
Have you noticed no one responds to your post anymore.
It looks pretty sad to be talking to yourself on a message board.
UH... for the investment of holding a $85 stock. Investment is long term. Want a reliable short term investment, I think saving accounts are paying something like .02% and it's safe. I'll take my chances retiring with SA.
Listen to the conference call when it was announced. The buyback is to be used over the next several years and in an opportunistic way. The market is at all time highs and LVS is very close to it's 52 week high and not falling. Why do you think he should buy here? It is not to be used for in vesting in LVS. it's to be used in an opportunistic way when the time presents itself. LVS is chugging along just fine on it's own right now.
Seems like all I read is it's going into the 40's. Volume is too low.
I submit that on this DOW -80 down day, NO ONE is selling LVS, thus the extremely low volume.
6 months ago it would have been down over a dollar.
It has lost a lot of the volatility and has been stuck in the mid 50's for a while now. Not falling into the 30's or 40's in the summer like many have called for.
The last two quarters have been so good that the volatility is settling down and is forming a very strong base/bottom here in the mid 50's.
Stocks that perform this way usually break out and explode to the upside and it looks like this is getting ready to happen here. All stocks trade in a range and I expect LVS to move to a 58-65 range very soon.
That's a good thing. The market is down -80 and no selling LVS and it is flat. 6 months ago it would have been down a dollar.
Great chart shaping up. The last time the daily chart looked like this was April 19th and closed at 53.06. Less than a month later on May 22nd it hit the intraday high of 60.54.
If it did that this time, it would hit 64. A breakout above 60 could take it to 64.
Is this the run longs have been waiting for?
Of course, but any action comes by a yes vote by the majority of shareholders. Carl Ichan telling SA how to run his company, hahahahahah!!!!!
Great thought, it would never happen though.
Ichan could only work with shareholders where he could actually gain control of the company. SA owns the majority and could care less what Ichan thinks.
I agree it's severely undervalued. But still has many overhanging drags on the stock price. As a long term investment, it WILL someday see $100 SP. But now too many investors have a 'wait and see' attitude with the DOJ investigation and lawsuits. SA's devotion to the GOP and Dems in charge of the DOJ doesn't help.
Don't get me wrong, I love LVS but it is what it is.
The market's down -65. If a stock doesn't have a specific catalyst, It's going to trade with the market.
