"I think you need to understand economics first, accounting second, and politics third to preform the above. With all that #$%$ said; who in this circus really does?"
Short answer: I do!
And if you think that was harsh you need to thicken your skin.
WBA would not need to part with cash to do this. The assumption of RAD's debt, to include RAD's purchase of PBM EnvisionRX, would be cheaper than financing a buy of ESRX.
Bloomberg on WBA:
The company is making progress in its hunt for a new CEO, it said, without offering details. Former CEO Greg Wasson announced his retirement in December.
Rite Aid, which reported earnings on Wednesday, forecast full-year profit of as much as 27 cents a share. Analysts had estimated 43 cents on average, according to data compiled by Bloomberg."
WBA would gain $26+ billion in sales and obtain an experienced young CEO in: Mr. John T. Standley , 52
Chairman, Chief Exec. Officer and Chairman of Exec. Committee of RAD
I think John has proven he can manage in this space. Just saying....
It will be interesting to know where WBA is projecting to close their stores. If they are in proximity to RAD stores that have been remodeled then WBA could be making a pre-emptive move before closing a deal with RAD. Would it not be more cost effective to acquire RAD properties than to build organically from scratch?
range is being established between $7.90 and $8.50.
Another $5 Billion in revenue per year does not hurt. That will increase revenue to $31 per share from $27after completion of Envision purchase.
Rite Aid (NYSE:RAD) was upgraded by Vetr from a “hold” rating to a “buy” rating in a research note issued on Tuesday. The firm currently has a $9.04 target price on the stock. Vetr‘s target price points to a potential upside of 19.26% from the stock’s previous close.
Well, Obamacare took mine away as I had to switch providers, doctors, and pay a higher deductible. And don't forget the additional 3.8% tax on your cap gains. And I don't like it you arrogant so and so!
I believe this says they are going to write a replacement bill which their vote mandated:
"Republicans have vowed to be ready with a replacement for Obamacare if the Supreme Court pokes a hole in the signature law later this summer, and will vote in the House Tuesday to both repeal the law and to give themselves a mandate to find the replacement.
For sure, the president will veto a full repeal of the law. That’s beside the point. In a democratic republic, elected representatives are accountable to the people—the sovereign power of the American republic—not to the president.
Beyond fulfilling their obligations to the people who voted for them, the new Congress should begin to make way for an alternative. Should the Supreme Court strike down the administration’s redefining the Obamacare subsidies in the federally run health insurance exchanges, the opportunity might come sooner rather than later."
My question is, what impact to the expanded Medicare coverage will a repeal or rewrite of the law have on RAD prescriptions since the Medicare expansion has provided an increase in RAD's prescription base?
What impact to RAD does the community see should Obamacare be repealed. My take is that there could be some impact though do not know to what extent. The house just voted to repeal Obamacare and I am wondering if this vote contributed to the drop last week.
What caused the drop during the past week? What was the market looking at? I understand the technical bounce, but don't understand what pushed it down. TIA
