The company, as part of its buyback program, repurchased 101,330 shares in the open market.
Been there done that and sold for a very nice gain, thank you. The fools are those who think will double or triple from here when the Execs sell a mere 40c higher. Do you really know more than them?
"And next quarter Earnings will be terrific".
Do you mean this qtr that will be issued in March? And how much is terrific??
Latest Biz Journal article:
"The jury must come to a unanimous verdict on each of the nine counts – with 34 questions – brought by the SEC. Stearns showed the jury what he thought they should do by putting the verdict form on the overhead projector and marking "no" across all of the charges."
Sorry to disappoint you but after banking tens of thousands in '09 I did buy back too soon (thinking as many do here now) BUT, the recent run allowed me to sell all (banking tens of thousands again). I have zero interest in it now other helping those who might get stuck (as I did) and sell too soon, at a loss (as I did not). Don't listen to others, find the facts yourself!
To have a P/E like that they would have to earn 39c for more than just 1 yr. It was a flash-in-the-pan, as they say. Ebola will be the same... but I doubt you'll see 39c this yr or next. All the SEC rpts can be easily accessed thru APT's web site - educate yourself.
MrsMisInfo thinks APT earned 39c in one qtr when it was 39c but for the full year of 2009. It's enlightening to understand the history as in that year Q4 sales increased by $2M (from the prev qtr) but earnings only went up 3c/shr. APT's chronic problem seems to be its inability to significantly grow the bottom line.
Another interesting/important fact is the Q4 results of last yr were issued early March. So you'll have a very long wait to see if there's much of an Ebola impact... good luck!
Not to mention this from the latest 10-Q:
"The Company’s Chief Executive Officer and President are each entitled to a bonus equal to 5% of the pre-tax profits of the Company, excluding bonus expense. Executive bonuses of $157,000 were accrued for the three months ended September 30, 2014, as compared to $146,000 for the same period of 2013. Executive bonuses of $346,000 were accrued for the nine months ended September 30, 2014, as compared to $228,000 for the same period of 2013."
Consider these facts:
- For the 9 mons ending Sept earnings were a mere 11c per share.
- The highest buy-back price paid was $2.14 in Sept.
- Execs have only sold shares and sales since June ranged from $2.16 to $4.20
These do not bode well for any huge price increase...
