Bought some TCAP @ $17.15.
Sold all my AMD @ 3.99 for a 15% gain.
But was down today over all 3K.
Have a good week end to all.
Yes, J-MAN has good investing ideas and is generous.
I appreciate the work he puts into it.
Ultimately we all have to make our own choices, but we do have a good forum on this board.
Slick, My average cost on FSC is $9.67, so I can afford to wait, and collect the divvies.
Good timing on your PSEC sale.
You are the one who got me trading PSEC.
I bought some PSEC yesterday, but did not get the low.
I'm not selling ,but the effect of removing BDCs from the indices should not deter a long term holder.
Buy the dips and collect the divy. FSC continues to be one my best stocks.
Around 6% of my portfolio is FSC.
I noticed that PSEC, TICC,and ANIV also took a hit.So on a big up day... BDC's go down.
J, you will have to ask your smart friend. I have no idea.
It is indeed strange when the DOW is up 200 + points, and FSFR,GARS, SCHM,and WHF are all down?
Yesterday when the Market was DOWN, I made $$. Today is a big up day and my accts. are flat.
Go figure. LOL
I would rather invest in the market and get better yields.
At least a 6 month CD doesn't tie up money too long, but a money market works well for me.
Having a large cash position is prudent at times, but opportunity lost at other times.
It is always a balancing act.
A mild buy at best . If it goes lower I will buy.Do'nt know where you get $17?
RSO is ok, but not great.
I wish I'd bought back when Wayne touted it -NRF. He did well.
For me , it is too high dollar now. I don't want to chase it.
Thanks for the heads up KEL.
I've owned PSEC for years and like the monthly divvy.
FSC is another BDC I own.
Ray is correct about the high dividend for PSEC .
Winters, RSO was once my largest holding, but I have scaled back.
I still like RSO,but with a much smaller position.
You are a smart man, and should have seen this coming last Summer, but you failed to act.
Stop blaming the management, and think of all the good divvies you have received.
People need to understand risk.
