Look at PFE. You people keep talking about the ins and outs of ARP, truth is, the stock is at $1.55 what does that tell you? Yes, they WERE in a good position, but not right now. The market lumps them in with oil, and that's not a good thing. Again, good luck.
Bear, I used to respect your opinions, time to change to health care, banks or something besides oil . Remember Awilco, I have not forgot. Oil is great, but not right now...that's all.
And now its not their fault, just oil prices. But, ARP has always traded as if it where undervalued or had something negative about it, compared to some of the other MLPs.. I don't know why, unless its the Cohen effect. Depending upon oil prices, I don't know how it will survive. I know they have a lot of Nat Gas, hopefully when we start exporting things will change. Now Iran wants to export Nat Gas, should be interesting. GLTA, as I don't see a magic wand on the horizon for oil or Nat gas.
It's not struggling, its crashing. Thanks to the Saudis. They are gonna get their market share back, and when they do, oil will go back up, it's quite simple.
I will add though, in the beginning I thought it was all about Russia and their invasion. Since our dumb #$%$ president signed agreement with Iran everything has changed. Saudis keep pumping and with new oil coming to market, everything has changed. Of course anything can happen. When the Saudis stop pumping oil will go up...bottom line.
If the Saudis don't cut and Iran comes to market, how do you think its going to 5-7 by year end 2016? If the Saudis cut, yes there is a possibility. Not trying to be smart or anything, just trying to understand your reasoning. Hedges don't matter, that has been proven over and over.
As I posted on the ARP board months ago, the distribution will be cut or eliminated. The only thing that will save them, at this point are Nat Gas exports and that won't happen until (I believe) the end of 2016. Hey, I own SXE, but with 90% of companies cutting or eliminating, the odds are not with us.
Well, it wasn't eliminated, but almost. Dead money until oil comes back, even though they are in nat. gas also, doesn't matter to the market.
I think it will be 2-5 yrs, but that's still along time. Dead money for now. I sold all of my ARP earlier in the year. I knew they couldn't keep that distribution up. Cohen is a liar, it is what it is. Wouldn't surprise me if this goes under $1.
