Looks to me like all the Secondary shares went to the Holding company. I presumed that's their vig. Not really a $ raiser but paying the Holding Co. with shares thus diluting the pps. Am I wrong here? They gave no price other than a total am't of shares and $.
Looks like they are proposing a similar move to KMI by 're-constituting' the partners into the parent, as a corporation.
Giving the same reasons as KMI - lower cost of capital, investment grade rating, removal of IDR's to General Partner = $avings, tax savings, better acquisition funding. All calculated to provide a steady long term increasing dividend stream.
I am already over allocated in KMI but will give a look at WMB.
Sounds to me it's not the residents so much as competing energy companies pressuring GA to keep outsiders out and keep prices up. KMI probably can ship from SC down to Jacksonville in Jones Act Tankers and avoid GA altogether. More than likely they'll pony up some $ for the GA Highway fund to clear the hurdles.
Fair question. As I recall, RK espoused the virtues of gaining 'Investment grade' status on debt. He also wanted to reduce the heavy burden on KMP of giving the GP 50% of DCF. Also, debt, if I recall was to reduce or eliminate Secondary offerings.
For me it made sense and I like others put a measure of faith in RK's abilities, based on past performance.
Two (business) days prior to Record date. Trades take 3 days to settle, therefore, if you own the stock 3 days before the record date, you get the div. Of course, Ex-Div means the stock trades without the dividend on that day.
Agree. At KMP when it was a MLP, they had to pay up to the General Partner with nearly 50% of DCF (distributable cash flow) which had grown over the years. Richard Kinder then last year un- MLP'd and put all companies into KMI as a corporation. Benefit was better credit ratings, acquisition strategies were easier, KMP the workhorse was unburdened, and all companies were part of the same corporate entity. Growth of dividend and Share value was focused and expectations rose as acquisition was simplified and made direct.
Without the GP, shareholders are more a whole part of the company. Although some of the tax advantages were lost, better DD&A was utilized.
Just trying to say that the burden of paying the management company gets tiresome and painful after a while.
Delta Airlines made a good move when the bought the shuttered refinery at Trainer PA from Conoco. It was already set up for light crude and then they started taking Baaken crude via train. It's already piped to the Airport and the Colonial mainline to ship product.
There is so much frack oil being pumped in the US they can't find enough storage. No need for more Canadian dilbit? It's too expensive anyway.
KMI will do very well piping and sending Canadian crude to the Trans Mountain terminals for export.
Keystone is obsolete. Its a political football now.
40 may be wishful thinking w/ KMI. Just a suggestion but consider opening a position at say 42 and buy dips while building the position.
KMI is a core holding for me. Been here (KMR) for ten years. No reason to expect the chart trajectory will change soon.
Yes, my program tells me it is paid today. The Dupont dividend announcement for 2 Qtr says paid 7/24/15, so the timing jives.
I suppose I just wait to see what happens with the spin off. I doubt they will be called. But that would be better yet.
Does anyone know how the preferreds will be treated in the upcoming spin off of Chemours?
Given that Chemours will pay DuPont $4,000,000,000, I doubt Chemours will get any of the prefereds.
Probably they will stay with the parent DuPont.
Any info welcome.
The DD div was increased $.02. What will happen to the dividend in the spin-off of CC?
Will the div be pro-rated and spun off with CC? Or will DD keep the dividend the same with CC establishing their own dividend?
When PSX spun off from COP, COP kept the div the same and PSX initiated their own at a smaller % to afford some growth and has been increasing div since with growth.
Are you saying Trian is dumping as a head fake but they are really pumping?
DD needs someone that shrewd.
The R'oil Bank of Canada will be there to lend a helping hand where needed to quell the natives.
Many good points made here, I believe fwiw, that COP will gin up the Production machine first as the price of oil begins its return, and then slowly continue Exploration activities. They know their properties well and will use them to their most proficient outcomes. They're not wildcatters.
