Yep, oil prices are down 4% so far today, but don't tell the Brits whose currency is off more than 8% so far today, back to 1980's range.
British people, or Britons, are the citizens of the United Kingdom, British Overseas Territories, and Crown dependencies; and their descendants. Yesterday's voters were Scots, Londoners and N. Irish against while the rest of England for. If we adopt the same simple majority rule, suspect that Alaska, Texas, CA etc would be individual countries long ago.
The presidents of the European council, commission and parliament – Donald Tusk, Jean-Claude Juncker and Martin Schulz respectively – and Mark Rutte, the prime minister of the Netherlands which holds the EU’s rotating presidency, said any delay to Britain’s exit would “unnecessarily prolong uncertainty”.
After emergency talks in Brussels, the four said they regretted, but respected Britain’s decision.
“This is an unprecedented situation, but we are united in our response,” they said in a joint statement.
While the UK – the first sovereign country to vote to leave – would remain a member until exit negotiations were concluded, they said, Europe expected it to “give effect to this decision ... as soon as possible” by triggering article 50 of the Lisbon treaty, which is effectively Britain’s formal letter of resignation.

The Saudis and Chinese are not going to pay for inflated London addresses anymore. Significant bank jobs will have to be moved from the UK, since the country could lose the free access it enjoys to the rest of the EU after it quits the club.

Bernie Sanders finally says he'll vote for Clinton, unloads on Trump
CNBC - 26 minutes ago
Bernie Sanders, whose presidential campaign has energized Democratic and independent voters, said Friday he will vote for the party's presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton.
The vote is pretty close to be definitive. For such an important issue which is binary, should requite 60% if not 2/3 as our amendments:
The sad thing is those poor bitter middle class voters for or against Brexit are going to be in hurt city while the elite are just going to do without 10% of their house keepers and gardeners.
Why not, they blamed Ebola and the Housing crash on Barry then:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- In a major victory for affirmative action, a divided Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the University of Texas admissions program that takes account of race.
The justices voted in favor of the Texas program by a 4-3 vote, an outcome that was dramatically altered by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, who opposed affirmative action.
The university considers race among many factors in admitting the last quarter of incoming freshmen classes. Texas fills most of the freshman class by guaranteeing admission to students who graduate in the top 10 percent of their Texas high school class.
Justice Anthony Kennedy said in his majority opinion that the Texas plan complied with earlier court rulings allowing colleges to take account of race in pursuit of diversity on campus. "The university has thus met its burden of showing that the admissions policy it used ... was narrowly tailored," Kennedy wrote.

Continuing Claims 2.162M vs. 2.157M prior.

Filings have been below 300,000 for 68 straight weeks -- the longest stretch since 1973 and a level economists say is typically consistent with a healthy labor market.
Here is the bottom line. We know Billary is one crooked enterpriser and Trump is a one trick real estate developer.
Like hiring a mechanics to overhaul the engine of the old Mercedes W110, I know Billary is going to charge me 2X the going rate and skim more with unneeded jobs, but Trump will have a few bolts and nuts left over after the job. Whom should I employ for the job?
lang, You meant her read a professionally written speech. I have not heard or read it but no way the details could be well thought out unless he is changing his tunes once more ... who knows what his speech would be this afternoon or tomorrow...

vt, you are right in both count, both not good. Understand that the average cost for an ER visit is about $10K for each admission. The max annual HSA contribution is $3350 for singles and $6750 for families, not enough for ER or one of those over priced drugs.
LOL! so GOP is cutting off its own nose to spite being failed obstructionists to anything Obama? And how about TARP that was created and executed by Paulson under Dubya. As for ISIS, do you really want to see your sons and daughters drafted and send off to fight those Islamic fanatics ... and watch names of soldiers scrolling on the big screen after daily news?
I had a heated conversation with a lawyer from Houston last Saturday. She said she was dead set against Sanders who preached wealth transfer to the poor and that minimum wage should be set at local levels and not federal. I countered that she was wrong. Sanders' point was the middle/poor class had been transferring their wealth to the rich since the 1980's and that minimum wage has stuck well behind inflation for too long. Sanders has been pushing those issues that the establishment from both political parties have ignored, thanks to SCOTUS's campaign finance ruling that led to laws written for the rich and multinationals.
But they are keeping their promise to protect dividend and eps no matter what, i.e more pain for employees, sell more assets, squeeze suppliers and ream/fool unsuspecting consumers.
