I have my morals to worry about. I believe that sexual perversion is sinful. I will not finance it.

E O G was a subsidiary of Enron and was spun off at the bankruptcy as Enron Oil & Gas.

When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,1 but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it his not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;2 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as rI have been fully known.
13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Please read Wikipedia on Bitumin and Catalytic Distillation. An oil refinery has an excess of steam at 400 degrees Centigrade. They just vent it off into the air.
Refined Asphalt is just what falls at the bottom of the Cat Cracker that will not fractionate.

Refined asphalt is a solid with melting point of 150 degrees. The tank cars that carry the asphalt have heating coils. When the tank car gets to where it is supposed to be unload they inject steam in the coils and the stuff melts. They need special tank cars, but the stuff is non flammable. Why the diluent?

Until China removes its Communist form of government and embraces free trade I will not invest any money in their so-called companies. Look what is happening in the steel industry ; the mills are churning out steel with no idea if they can sell it or not because somebody in central planning tells them they must. . From the reports that I have heard of GS"s shoddy construction and lack of testing of track before they put it into service, it adds to the risk.

    Ezekiel 36: 26-36
26“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27“I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. 28“You will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God. 29“Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I will not bring a famine on you. 30“I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field, so that you will not receive again the disgrace of famine among the nations. 31“Then you will remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and your abominations. 32“I am not doing this for your sake,” declares the Lord GOD, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your ways,"

That is a very broad statement. The problem seems to be Bakken oil extracted by fracking, which is very methane. Crude and refined oil has moved by rail since 1861. I lived in Glasgow Kentucky in the 1970s and they would send tank trucks around the the local oil wells and haul the crude oil to a transfer station in Glasgow where it was transferred to rail tank cars and hauled to Tennessee Eastman at Kingsport,TN. Not as long as there is the major bottleneck getting containers off the ships and out on rails. As it is now some of the container ships are being diverted through the Panama Canal to Gulf and East Coast ports. I have a friend in the import/export business who told me last night that he is doing just that, even if it takes 10 days longer, he is more certain when the parts will get to the assembly plants.

An El Paso gas line runs by our church. In fact, part of our church parking lot is over the pipeline. In the 30 years that I have been part of that church El Paso has replaced sections of that line twice. In the town near here they are replacing a bridge. That bridge has been in place since 1941 because of a cracked bridge abutment, spalling of the concrete and to 4 liane it. . I am under the impression that bridges have a longer life and can be used while in a greater need of maintenance. Yes, I invest in pipelines, too.

The pipeline will create thousands of jobs and will also provide a route to move Bakken oil and gas to Oklahoma. The chances of polluting the aquifer are so minimal. Rail is still needed to move crude to points not on a pipeline. Bitumen is needed to provide a much needed source of asphalt.
