Yes, If any company wants to be involved in the biggest breakthrough in history they should get a hold of Intellectual Ventures - or - Vulcan Ventures.
I hope I made a difference in peoples lives..these message boards can be cruel at times and I wouldn't want the world to be a colder place. I saw Paul Allen at the corner and thought he was a private investigator until it dawned on me to look up his photo, putting two and two together. I suppose his investments caused him the chance to make a huge difference in peoples lives, again! I hope he's happy. If he wanted to help me, he knows where I live.

Intellectual Ventures' purchased patents have largely been kept secret, though press releases with Telcordia and Transmeta indicated some or all of their patent portfolios were sold to the company. Investigative journalism suggests that the company makes most of its income from lawsuits and licensing of already-existing inventions, rather than from its own innovation. Intellectual Ventures has been described as a "patent troll" by Shane Robison,[

700 MHz licensee Vulcan Wireless, owned by Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) co-founder Paul Allen, is pushing the FCC to order interoperability across all paired spectrum blocks in the Lower 700 MHz band, contending that will stimulate interested parties to find a technical solution via the industry-driven standards body process.
Vulcan made ex parte presentations last week at the FCC regarding the commission's proposed rulemaking on 700 MHz interoperability, a proceeding for which was initiated in March 2012 on an issue A Block licensees have been touting since 2009.
The company, which owns 700 MHz spectrum licenses in the lower A Block in Oregon and Washington, contends the commission does not need to dictate a technical solution for interoperability but merely require that interoperability be achieved. "Under this approach, the commission would ensure that a unified band plan is adopted and ratified within a reasonable time period, not to exceed six months," said a letter submitted by Christopher Termini, an attorney with Hogan Lovells, which represents Vulcan at the FCC.

Paul Allen invested in to stocks such as Charter communications, Metricom and Transmeta - which filed bankruptcy. I invested in his stock picks and lost all of my retirement monies. He has now invested into intellectual ventures, a private company. I am a fan of Paul Allen, I saw him at the corner of HWY 68 and Corral de Tierra, Salinas and thought he was a Private investigator, I looked up his photo after the fact and realized I missed meeting him at the corner. I had a responsibility to the parents of Christina Williams if I knew anything about her death! Holymcom taught me that we're living in a well! She was abducted during a visit by the then president Bill Clinton and vice president Al Gore. I had the obligation to help if I had anything to offer about her abduction, first and foremost! I have heard that the person who did it got caught. I had to put that first and foremost beyond riches. I bought Windows Me upgrading from 5.1 which held our customer's mailing addresses. Intel hacked into Yahoo's servers and tried to rip off Paul Allen! Scared the #$%$ out of me! I'm telling the truth! And, yes, I want Paul Allen to help me, I helped Paul Allen....I know he's happy and I'm glad I could help. I had post traumatic stress syndrome at the time! I know in my heart that Paul Allen is a good man! I helped Paul, and I want Paul to help me now. I hope all is well, My salute..Russ

  • Where would you be, I lost 40,000.00. I hope all is well, I suppose my loss is Microsoft's' gain! How would you feel if one were in my shoes? I hope everyone is happy! My Company is doing well. I hope Paul Allen is enjoying his life, and I'm glad I was around to help, my salute, Russ

Microsoft is buying into the cellular market with Nokia. Years ago, the Microsoft Corp. invested into the Apple Corp. and probably still owns those shares. Paul Allen owns the Metricom patents where bits and bytes are bits. Intellectual ventures bought out the Transmeta Corp. Paul Allen gets to do it again, change the world as we know it. I want Paul Allen to help me, I helped you Paul, for what it’s worth, help me.

Yes, back then, Linus was working for the Transmeta Corporation. Thanks for spelling schizoaffective disorder. I Invested my life savings in Metricom and Transmeta, both companies went bankrupt. I should have invested in QUALCOMM.

I was learning about trading as I went being a long of Metricom. I bought a laptop from Dell that had a software glitch. So, I bought a laptop with a Crusoe chip.... What I'm trying to say is, Paul Allen probably understood the Metricom patents, bits and bytes are bits. The point is, Paul Allen gets to do it again, change the world as we know it! I caused it to happen, being a long. It takes some time to get all the ducks in a row, years, and he has the staying power with his enormous wealth! Paul Allen, I'm assuming, won't fund another public company unless there is a considerable amount of revenue achieved.

Some of you on this board post that Linus is small time. Let me set the score strait , Linus used to work for the Transmeta Corp. HE ACTUALLY HELPED THE Microsoft Corporation while wearing his Transmeta engineering hat, so to speak. So, some of you who bash Linus Torvalds don't know the whole picture. He posted on the Yahoo message boards at the time, years ago, "that the Microsoft Corporation needed to have Code Morphing Software". So, anyone that says that Linus software is obsolete, he did the right thing while working for the late Transmeta Corp. and mentioned it so on the yahoo message boards. Linus isn't Microsoft's enemy. He did the right thing! Me, I caused the Transmeta Corporation to get together with Dr. Ritter, formally a Metricom engineer, that set the stage for the biggest break through in the history! Simply because I BOUGHT A TABLET WINDOWS ME MILLENIUM NOTEBOOK MACHINE FROM DELL THAT HAD A KEYBOARD FLAW IN THE SOFTWARE THAT WOULD SCRAMBLE WRITEN DOCUMENTS IN MICROSOFT WORD.
I lost my entire savings on Metricom and Transmeta hoping that I would be able to use the products they had to offer. Intel tried to rip off the Transmeta Corporation after learning that Transmeta made the biggest break in global history! Me, I have a hard time trusting people. I'm tired of holding this close to my chest. I tried to do the right thing and realize now Transmeta did the right thing. Me, I sometimes wish that I did things differently, but I never sold out Paul Allen or the Microsoft Corporation, I believe that Linus did the right thing. Now, I suffer from Pschytso affective disorder. The next time I invest into a company, it will be the Microsoft corporation, solid as a rock, with lots of room to grow! I have a huge problem with trusting people now, I barely make it trough everyday, but I never sold out Paul Allen or the Microsoft Corp.
