There's a pretty big cover up as most of the state officials are corrupt. You haven't heard the end of this story and my guess is there's a better than 50/50 chance this Heisman Trophy goes to someone else later - Tre Mason or Jordan Lynch -- both deserve it equally.
Obama has now burdened our future generations with the largest debt bomb ever known to modern man
Horrible record, lousy performance.
This guy sacrificed a 1/3rd of his life in prison fighting apartheid and is, in my opinion, a saint / hero.
He will be missed.
Ford is channel stuffing at a level not seen since 2005/6--- does not bode well going forward.
The Fed (in spite of the euphoria observed in the equity markets) is losing control. It will not end well for equity holders -- I'm selling my portfolios over the next 2-3 months before the next big correction which is way overdue.
I hate liars and this one's got a shameful record.
Republicans control 30 out of the 50 upper houses (Dems 18, 2 tied)
Republicans control 28 out of the 50 lower houses (Dems 21)
Bottom line: states can't afford to be mismanaged by wasteful Democrats and the above stats bear that out
States can't afford going bankrupt like the federal government is about to do (have you noticed the growth in basis points on US debt the past 12 months?)
Debts (as of Nov 2013)
Democratic Party $26,826,000
Republican Party $1,713,000
Democratic Nat'l Committee $17,450,000
Republican Nat'l Committee $0
Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee $7,500,000
Nat'l Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee $0
There is no question the White House knew 93M Americans could lose their health plans -- it's all right there in the June 2010 Edition of the Federal Register.
Yet Obama spends three years deceiving Americans and claiming otherwise?
I use to like the man personally, but now I'm calling his character into question.
You're wildly delusional if you actually believe that nonsense..........
Good news for savers, retirees, and Americans. Fed actions (so far) have resulted in the greatest wealth transfer in history from the working poor, savers, and retirees to corporations, the US Treasury, and the 1%.
Regarding Fed actions and US debt, the Chinese have said enough and are dramatically cutting purchases of US debt -- look for rates to rise precipitously as bond buyers in 2014 demand better returns.
The Senator denied he had anything to do with the $2.2B in Democratic pork added to the "Government Re-Opening and Debt Ceiling" bill singed by President Obama last Thursday at midnight.
Unfortunately, for Senator Durbin there's a paper trail as wide as the Mississippi which includes his written request (worked by Professional Staffers on the Senate Appropriations Committee) to Appropriations Chairwoman Mikulski followed by her co-sponsoring the $2.2B in pork for Senator Durbin's home state of Illionois which Senator Reid included as an 11th hour amendment to the Bill.
The dirty laundry trail can be found in the Congressional Record --- Library of Congress Thomas system.
The reality is they won nothing in last week's "victory" --- the Republicans held their feet to the fire on sequestration (Democrats were pushing hard to have it lifted) and the Republicans filled the "Government Re-Opening and Debt Ceiling" Bill Obama signed late Thursday with key ObamaCare restrictive language which will cause it to hemorrhage badly next year.
CNBC's Chief Economist Steve Liesman, a strong left wing liberal, did a 10-minute piece on this on air and said "last week was a clear Republican victory in spite of what the media is reporting"
I did actually run a Cub Scout Organization along with an Air Force Wing (several thousand people) and a couple of good sized government organizations -- take my word for it: the federal government knows more about creating and sustaining waste than most have forgotten.
Nice gesture on Obama's part, but impractical and logistically difficult --- obviously the staff in the White House knows little about Rules of Order or established meeting protocol practices followed in industry to enhance meeting effectiveness.
What I find most disappointing is President Obama, in my opinion, is the kind of person you can sit down with and have long conversations about almost any topic --- why he's been acting so hard headed lately is beyond me --- it's not a trait of good leaders.
Historically, political opponents, in spite of ideological differences, have kept communications open; however, such is not the case today and half the blame is owned by President Obama.
Then why are they sucking dollars out of hard working American taxpayers to keep this non-essential waste ?
