Looks like a Shelf. They can not do common stock offering since the gap between the market price per share and the NAV per share exceeds the 15% restriction approved by the shareholders in the last proxy vote. These guys should be buying back all the common stock they can at these levels. On a good note they have not done any lending to any small tier oil and gas companies.
a figure that is projected to increase to 1.7 billion by the year 2035 this downward blip in oil prices is temporary if you look at the big picture. SDRL has done the right thing by addressing the debt now. It is not like everybody pulled over to the side of the road and got out of their cars. Oil usage is projected to rise on a year over year basis out to 2035.
Hi Peter this is also a long term hold for me. I have owned my shares for years and today I put a order to buy some more at $31.50. Let's see if I get some.it is getting close.. Who better to manage our money in a tricky market with compounding sans the yearly tax bill the limited partners have to pay. Also we get leverage the insurance premium money.
For the 6 months ended June fully diluted adjusted book value has increased 9.2%.while the stock price has decreased 4.1% during the same period. This makes no sense. These guys also are not running out to write insurance in this competitive market. Like Buffett they are on the sidelines waiting for the right pitch. In addition Einhorn is very good in a down market. What's not to like ?
Forward guidance is strong. They have a clean balance sheet with properties valued on the books way below current market values. They also have a tax asset that will assure that most of the income will fall to the bottom line. Anyone out there.
higher will be good for SAEX.
Interim CFO not CEO. No real negative market reaction so far. The CEO is a bright guy so I am reling on his judgment to make the right choices.
I read the report that Panasonic will put in $1 billion or 20% of the estimated cost and there will be several other partners. So lets assume the others will put in another 30% and Tesla puts in the other $2.5 billion or 50%. Why would Tesla get 85% of the profits per your calculations ? What is the net profit margin on the $3 billion of sales ?
AND WHAT % WILL TESLA OWN ?
2014 estimates are $1.25 @10X P/E $12.50 or 32% upside from todays price. The management team is doing a super job.
I heard that also on the earnings call. I think we still get the annual big divvy announced next month and then a quarterly starting next year. Is that what you are thinking ?
I doubt going private is in the cards. They would have gone through with the recent offering and capital raise. The sole purpose of the raise was to get their book capital to over $50 million so they would not get kicked off the NY stock exchange.
Hey Ed great minds think alike . Had this since $26 and it is one of my largest positions. Sold all my BGCP right after you. How are the Shad Berries . Pick any more lately ?
Those poor Tesla owners !!! I just got done reading the complaints. Musk will be coming out with a new company that will make noise reducing ear muffs.
