    will beat on earnings

OMEX has never been in better shape than it is today. They have a great backlog of potentially very lucrative projects and their subsidiaries are looking great. The scurrilous, misleading and untrue reports from Meson are no longer taken seriously by those who have been here for some time, but unfortunately they have frightened many other more naïve investors into leaving the ship. Not one of Meson's predictions have come true nor will the latest ones: "salvage value will be minimum and bankruptcy looms in August". Nothing could be further from the truth and once this albatross is pried off, OMEX is off and running. 5,000,000 shorts have seen the light and departed this past week but the 19 million remaining will put on a great show for all of us if they all try to depart at the same time. Particularly since most of the remaining float consists of those holding for the long haul: LT investors, institutions and insiders. Hang on the far better days ahead!

Aside from all the good comments mentioned, these coins will sell at an additional premium if they are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity stating they were recovered from the CA.

July 16 came and went with no hint of Marvelous Meson's bankruptcy forecast. Must have misread the stars as he now says August will be the month and the salvage to date is so poor that there will probably be no further excavation. Not only is there no chance of bankruptcy, but the ship will be leaving shortly to move from the aft end to midships. This is not over by a long shot.

Great Scott, I think I struck a nerve! I think I mentioned Meson's financial thugs. Well, if the shoe fits.........

  • valueguyhp2002 by valueguyhp2002 Jul 11, 2014 3:01 PM Flag

People like Meson are conscienceless people who make big money by resorting to publicizing fraudulent statistics, data and anything just short of liable. They hire fincncial thugs to do their bidding and post what they want perceived as knowledgeable reasons a company is about to fail. Their purpose, of course, is to scare holders of their target stock into selling in large enough amounts to trigger a cascade of stop-losses. The Ponzis and Madoffs of the world were no different: They found it too difficult to make an honest living. My sympathy is with the many naïve stockholders who lost so much to these machinations. July 16 is nearly here. There will be no bankruptcy. Surely Mr. Meson could not be wrong. What will the new excuse be? The Phosphate mining failures mentioned were not in the new territory and ecological concerns have been addressed. For those who complain about lack of progress reports OMEX is operating as an agent and under a restrictive gag order which can only be lifted by their employers. At some date short of 90 days all will be released and IMHO will be well worth waiting for so please have some patience. The squeeze is coming!

The Black Swan coins that went to Spain were largely due to a State Department amicus brief filed in the court cases (only subsequently revealed by Wikileaks) that agreed the coins belonged to Spain.

My guess would be a new floor coming at $5 plus the additional boost from the coming short squeeze. Nearly 23 million shares currently short or nearly 1/3 of the float. This should be fun.

The dramatic volume on Friday waved a flag to investors to take a look at this company. It also told the patient holders to continue to hang on as the longer the ship remains on station, the more they are bringing up. So with the black cloud of selling from the index funds removed, buying pressure has been picking up as sales have abated. That should continue (in varying degrees) until the CA results are made public and we have already been told that the project is proceeding even better than expected. A short squeeze is on the way!

The longer they stay on target, the better the return will be as they have another project waiting for this completion. Incidentally Mexico just finished refurbishing a giant fertilizer plant on the coast. Waiting for??

  • valueguyhp2002 by valueguyhp2002 Jun 5, 2014 1:11 PM Flag

After the meeting yesterday in which we were informed that the CA project was likely to yield more than expected, the phosphate project offshore Mexico was almost ready to launch and the Victory project was very near to final approval, it is very difficult to understand the large amounts of OMEX being sold yesterday and today. IMHO there will be a large number of rueful former shareholders when the results of the CA project are announced as well the initial beginnings of the phosphate dredgings and possibly, by then, the all-clear given on the Victory project. Is a couple months more waiting too long? Apparently .

Let's assume OMEX is successful in retrieving an amount of gold sufficient that their share is 45 million. Then further assume that OMEX decldares a one-time dividend of $.25 peer share. OMEX would need to put up 15 million in this case and the balance of 5 million would come from the twenty million shorts. The 25 cent dividend would be very welcome to the long patient shareholders, but even more welcome would be the price rise as 20 million shorts scrambled to cover before they were forced to cough up the dividend to those they borrowed from.

Since the announcement of the CA and following the CC that is mostly what has covered this message board. Are all these spouters, grinding out half-truths, innuendo and downright falsifications, hired by the infamous Lizard of Wall Street? Kudos to those loyal and long suffering longs who have managed to stay the course. Our time is appproaching. This company is not going broke-far from it as you heard in the CC. Not only that but their long que of high reward targets will turn this company into an extremely profitable one in the future. Consider: The Victory project holds a reputed 4 tons of gold coins estimated to approach a billion in today's prices, and when the Spanish get sorted out, the Sussex carried a cargo of somewhere between one and three billion in coins. Were it not for the political interference (only revealed by Wikileaks) 500,000 coins held by Spain, would instead be in the process of monetization today. And resist stop losses (which, by a huge cascade, caused the success of the original short attack. And, once again, would suggest you place shares in a non margined account. IMHO this will not last much longer.
