What part of a "30% margin" which will be exceeded after deducting expenses do you fail to comprehend?

Whoever posted the message to place a high price ($6?) on all your Amex shares which will preclude shorting should be thanked by all longs. Take a look at the volume recently. Many have done just that.

I an baffled, even amazed, that upon being presented with a great business plan, countering all Meson's claims and assurances that financials are sound, that over one million shareholders sold at this level. My perspective is that they have missed the transformation to a new Odyssey which will become more evident each week: bringing up a long inventory of valuable cargo while at the same time enjoying the steady cash flow with partners working a huge phosphate finding. OMEX's future is bright and I hope the rest of you stay to enjoy it.

Doubt that he is short any stock. He gets his from managing the fund in the form of a large fee. His benevolence is as contrived as everything else he does. He was careful to say his profits from his shorts would go to charity.

...that on a rare occasion you will be preyed on by those who resort to spewing distortions, innuendos and outright lies in an effort to create sufficient fear in shareholders of stock which they have shorted, to tank by triggering sales followed by stop-loss sales resulting in more of the same until they see sufficient gain to cover. The methods they and their hired spooks use walk a very shaky legal rope:"OMEX will likely bankrupt on or before July 16" or when this fails to occur, August. Anyone nuts enough to bet on that? Or when OMEX returns from their first run on the CA, the amount salvaged was very "disappointing" and they will likely not return. WHO was disappointed? I thought it to be an excellent start. The latest interview reinforces the fact that all is going very well. Odyssey has always delivered when tasked. The Black Swan should have provided them near half a billion dollars until our State Department (guess who was running that?) sided with Spain and filed an Amicus Brief during the court case. This was revealed later when wikileaks came out but when a quid-pro-quo was requested this could almost be seen as corruption but of course we don't have that in THIS country. The Gairsoppa showed their technical brilliance by bringing up all the silver aboard from three miles deep. I had a personal stake when the Republic was salvaged after I purchased several shares at $.80 (this was filmed by National Geographic from a 2-man sub. Would highly recommend it's purchase. This is beginning to look like a repeat of the Republic which, when accomplished, sent the stock over $5. Have a little more patience and don't let these bozos cover with your stock. We are near the finish line!

If it were that would equate to a minimum of 30 million dollars in numismatic dollars today.

OMEX has never been in better shape than it is today. They have a great backlog of potentially very lucrative projects and their subsidiaries are looking great. The scurrilous, misleading and untrue reports from Meson are no longer taken seriously by those who have been here for some time, but unfortunately they have frightened many other more naïve investors into leaving the ship. Not one of Meson's predictions have come true nor will the latest ones: "salvage value will be minimum and bankruptcy looms in August". Nothing could be further from the truth and once this albatross is pried off, OMEX is off and running. 5,000,000 shorts have seen the light and departed this past week but the 19 million remaining will put on a great show for all of us if they all try to depart at the same time. Particularly since most of the remaining float consists of those holding for the long haul: LT investors, institutions and insiders. Hang on the far better days ahead!

Aside from all the good comments mentioned, these coins will sell at an additional premium if they are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity stating they were recovered from the CA.

July 16 came and went with no hint of Marvelous Meson's bankruptcy forecast. Must have misread the stars as he now says August will be the month and the salvage to date is so poor that there will probably be no further excavation. Not only is there no chance of bankruptcy, but the ship will be leaving shortly to move from the aft end to midships. This is not over by a long shot.

Great Scott, I think I struck a nerve! I think I mentioned Meson's financial thugs. Well, if the shoe fits.........

  • valueguyhp2002 by valueguyhp2002 Jul 11, 2014 3:01 PM Flag

People like Meson are conscienceless people who make big money by resorting to publicizing fraudulent statistics, data and anything just short of liable. They hire fincncial thugs to do their bidding and post what they want perceived as knowledgeable reasons a company is about to fail. Their purpose, of course, is to scare holders of their target stock into selling in large enough amounts to trigger a cascade of stop-losses. The Ponzis and Madoffs of the world were no different: They found it too difficult to make an honest living. My sympathy is with the many naïve stockholders who lost so much to these machinations. July 16 is nearly here. There will be no bankruptcy. Surely Mr. Meson could not be wrong. What will the new excuse be? The Phosphate mining failures mentioned were not in the new territory and ecological concerns have been addressed. For those who complain about lack of progress reports OMEX is operating as an agent and under a restrictive gag order which can only be lifted by their employers. At some date short of 90 days all will be released and IMHO will be well worth waiting for so please have some patience. The squeeze is coming!

The Black Swan coins that went to Spain were largely due to a State Department amicus brief filed in the court cases (only subsequently revealed by Wikileaks) that agreed the coins belonged to Spain.

My guess would be a new floor coming at $5 plus the additional boost from the coming short squeeze. Nearly 23 million shares currently short or nearly 1/3 of the float. This should be fun.

The dramatic volume on Friday waved a flag to investors to take a look at this company. It also told the patient holders to continue to hang on as the longer the ship remains on station, the more they are bringing up. So with the black cloud of selling from the index funds removed, buying pressure has been picking up as sales have abated. That should continue (in varying degrees) until the CA results are made public and we have already been told that the project is proceeding even better than expected. A short squeeze is on the way!
