The average Radio Shack store does $1,300 per day in sales total. How much revenue goes to Microsoft per store per day?$2,$3? Exclusive agreement with RSH? How much revenue does IBM generate for MSFT per day? $1M,$2M? Realistically IBM is a 10,000 times larger customer than RSH.
RSH is sht as a customer to sell to. No supplier will miss them or needs them to survive.
Lets say all you say is true. then what. Al dept. stores started Christmas sales early due to the shortened December sales period. So a 10% November sales increase with a 25% shorter December sales period could mean lower overall sales in 2013 compared to 2012. Also we know discounting is more severe as reported by all Stores who have warned about profitability this period. Go and believe the simple stuff and ignore digging deeper
Now the slide to new lows. 6 less holiday sales days to generate cash flow from the huge inventory build for the holidays. Everyone says sales are brutal but longs didn't listen here. Got cash for gifts ? Getting the boy the GI Joe with Kung #$%$ grip for Christmas? Remember Trading Places? Sell sell sell. Mortimer gets wiped out
Sunsailor is comic relief. Nothing more. You could not try to pick as bad of socks as this guy. I think he is the village idiot offspring of Kit Tsui, they sent to the US, to get out of the village. Forgot to tell him all of the family companies were sht
It does them no good to dig deep. Decide how many stores they can operate profitably and dump the rest via chapter 11. The sooner the better to preserve current cash
pit, we have heard every retailer say margins are squeezed. Your IMHO is an incorrect opinion
This is a simple technology issue to fix. We don't like to invest in infrastructure . I traveled in Europe recently at 200MPH and you can believe the train operator wasn't controlling speed , just looking for obstacles on the track. I agree human error can happen so eliminate the prospects for human error
