Excellent question. The "green" indeed seems greener on the Republican where a Republican governor assures that more goodies are available to his party members.
A Justice Department report ranked Louisiana is the most corrupt state, with 7.67 public official convictions per 100,000 residents over nine years. Another study calls the Bayou State the third-most corrupt state.
Most recently, Gov. Bobby Jindal and former Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard each received $40,000 in campaign contributions from companies that the Louisiana Board of Ethics now alleges are "straw man entities" used to launder illegal donations from the embattled River Birch landfill's parent company. Jindal's campaign reported receiving $5,000 contributions from six River Birch-linked firms on the same day in April 2007.
The $30,000 haul would violate a $5,000 cap on donations from one company if all the money ultimately came from River Birch Inc., as the Board of Ethics asserts in a lawsuit against the alleged shell companies.
Thus Guillory has positioned himself into the majority where more of the payoffs and handouts are available!
Well, you are here.
Maybe the problem is, as you have posted on another board, this board species in jibber-jabber about unrelated subjects.
(And "jibber-jabber" is an elevation of the racist, fact-free, propagandistic, lying drivel posted here by brainwashed dead enders.)
Sen. Elbert Guillory switches back to GOP
The staunch conservative, an enrolled Republican, smithed to a Democrat affiliation in 2006 when he ran for office in a largely Democratic district. He said he originally switched parties because “I represented a staunchly Democratic district the past seven years. But now, “the power shift in Louisiana has become so thorough that it is necessary, to represent my district properly, to be able to sit with other seats of power.”
The Louisiana Democratic Party “wished Elbert Guillory a fond farewell as the former Republican returned to the party of scandal-plagued Bobby Jindal and Tea Party extremists that have opposed equal pay for women and expanded access to health insurance for working families,” party Executive Director Stephen Handwerk said.
“In a craven display of political opportunism, Elbert Guillory today rejoined the party that has stood with Bobby Jindal’s failed policies and against the working families of Acadiana. This move isn’t surprising given Guillory’s record of saying one thing to his constituents and then voting another way.”
Not exactly a profile in courage, would ya say? But such treachery the Twinkies just love!
Do not copy the brainwashed, brain dead Twinkies and ignore giving credit where credit is due.
MUCH kudos is due to Pres. Bush, listening to Mr. Paulson and initiating federal stimulus programs which Pres. Obama has continued.
You see what has happened to sappy drwstring? He can never answer with a factual rebuttal and is only capable of little boy whining.
He loves to use “LMAO.” It’s evident his giggling has so impaired his posterior, the nasty stuff is just filling him up and has clogged his noggin!
The Twinkies blather like children, but seem to implicitly agree with Republican support for the adulterous, corrupt and hypocritical Sanford!
