"...At May's Code Conference, Intel chief Brian Krzanich showed up wearing a shirt that included sensors and an Intel Edison chip, which measured his heart rate and took an EKG, the results of which showed up on his smartphone. Krzanich partnered with AIQ for the shirt, which features a special silicon called Gossmer. AIQ is expected at next week's IFA trade show in Berlin...."
"sensors" --note worthy.
Here is another company working on Ebola...NewLink Genetics,
"...NewLink says Canadian Ebola vaccine trial could start in weeks
The corporation also has up to three manufacturers ready to make doses within the next two months. Ebola has killed more than 1,000 people across West Africa.
REUTERS Thursday, August 14, 2014, 4:11 PM..."
"...The NewLink vaccine uses an attenuated or weakened virus, a pathogen found in livestock called vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV). One of the virus's genes is replaced by a gene from the Ebola virus. The Ebola gene makes a harmless protein that sits on the virus's outer coat.."
Here we see a company that seems to be rearranging an Ebola gene and attaching it to an attenuated VSV virus in the hopes of having the immune system recognize it as Ebola.
This seems less elegant than Inovio's approach. Still in the old paradigm.
...On Wednesday, North Carolina drugmaker BioCryst announced it had received a $4.1 million award from the NIH to study its experimental antiviral medication for Ebola.
You never know, we could have created a disturbance in the force.
This quote comes to mind,
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

Mark, I'll give you credit for Black Rock if you give me credit for TIAA-CREF. I talked with some of the reps who visited our institution and had a chance to speak with them for 10 minutes about Inovio. This was before they took a large position.
The chatter I am hearing on the "internets", people are concerned about why US airlines are still flying to infected countries. Aircrews are not happy. Airplanes may be the vector to worry about.
Got deleted when I tried to post it here, go to ppphhhiillllydottttkommm
Inovio has the Ebola construct, it's up to "The-Powers-That-Be" to fund them... An email from IR, I asked.

"As a result, the World Health Organization has scheduled a meeting of medical ethicists for next week how drugs not previously tested in humans might be ethically mobilized during such a crisis."
