Yeah, it was bound to happen. Microsoft finally got an operating system that was adequately functional and now they will kill it off. It can't be good for anyone.
OH NO I AM UNDER ATTACK FROM AN UNEDUCATED, METROSEXUAL INTC PIMP WITH LITTLE OR NO KNOWLEDGE!!! WHAT TO DO !!! WHAT TO DO!!!
Bushbot, I have forgotten 10x more about INTC products than you will ever know. Go get a three pack of microbrewery kkkrap and bed down in your overvalued townhome. You are an embarrassment, even to INTC pimps.
The little mouse has grown into the size of a rat!!! The Vinnie God does not come here often and it does not wish to see little #$%$-ants paysans peasants stirring up trouble. It does not get pleasure from this.
You have awoken a very powerful god. I commanded INTC to $12 and I can do it again, rodent.
Bad ju-ju. Don't anger the Vinnie God or the stock price goes down further.
Vinnie the God sayeth one hundred fifty moons ago, this pig never hits 30 ever again. Ever.
reuppetiiera has angered the Vinnie God. Beware of bad omens.
Reality check, Bushbot, I predicted TWELVE YEARS AGO that InDell would never reach thirty again. So, who's the frikkin genius here, Bushbot?
INTC pimps are paranoid. No aliases, never, ever. I said INTC would never hit thirty again and nobody listened. That was twelve years ago. Yeah, I feel kind of smart about that call. Forty bazillion INTC pimps lambasted me, insulted me, called me INTC names, etc.
What a bunch of dopes, the biggest of whom is Walrus the Dream Weaver. King Dope of all time.
Wallis, why is the stock price the same as twelve years ago? Any thoughts?
Wallis, here's an impromptu question. Why is INTC's stock price the same as about twelve years ago? Bashers? Drive by media? Russian mafia? Evil stock manipulators?
INTC evolves onward. Wow. What will be their next Waterloo?
For a company that screwed over vendors and customers for two decades, this should be interesting.
I worked at Intel when Itanic was in development and the mantra, introduced by Andy Grove, was, "agree to disagree." At the time, that seemed like a prudent way to force Itanic out the door and get rid of anyone who wasn't, "on board with the latest paradigm shift."
Fast forward fifteen years and this rusting hulk hasn't done anything except improve process. Except, process is only one part of the equation. Time to market is more important, generally, and the Asians are rushing better phones to market despite process.
PC's never get bigger. They never get more expensive. And, they never get slower.
Process per watt has hit the wall. Long time ago.
Nobody buys empty white boxes any more.
And, the prices keep going down.
INTC has always been able to beat the price erosion by introducing better process, but those days are over, too. The price to decrease process size has grown larger than the margin increase for wafers per die. This began to happen with X-Ray lithography, and now physics has put up a wall.
Either INTC unleashes a new, non-silicon process, or it becomes yet another chip producer. Even 3D transistors are simply a stop gap measure.
One thing I learned as an investor. If the short interest is low, that bodes well for longs. I used to think the opposite, that shorts could suddenly bring it down, but with low short interest, that means a few weak retails trying to scalp downturns.
I doubt that would work. Kids today don't even know what in Intel is. They know droid, IPhone, etc. Intel is something your grampa owned a long time ago.
"a full PC-like Windows Experience ..."
Does it offer blue screens of death, random lockups and hours and hours of unwanted updates?
Where can I get one? Best Buy dumpster?
I told you this would be a complete failure. Nobody listened to me except my dog. There is no way Comcast and General Scientific and Dish Network and CenturyLink and NetFlix and all these other streaming content providers are going to let dying Intel horn in on the territory they spent years developing and staking out.
INTC is basically a fab now. A good fab, but nothing more. They had one home run hit. The 80386, in 1985 or thereabouts. They successfully milked this design for a quarter of a century. Now they are a parody of themselves. It is truly over.
