It doesn't matter much. What does matter is the PC contract they have been working on. It had better not be all in vain . The 10q is enough to explain where their e-reader market is going.

I just received an updated short count this morning. It stated an increase not decrease. They need to be forced to cover. A PC signing would do it.

A stock sitting @ & 2.29 with the possibility of being 10 times or $20.00 per share sounds to good to be true. Possible? yes but so far the performance and contracts don't add up to your projections. That's called speculation. We need performance not speculation. .

They have not signed that PC contract and the shorts are betting it doesn't happen. If they don't sign, all the pumping in the world won't stop this from tanking. FYI, they have taken advantage of the strength to add to the short interest again. The float is now at 28% short.. This short is looking for a negative catalyst to drive this down. I'm pretty sure it isn't going to be 4th quarter earnings. I can't imagine why they shouldn't easily beat the numbers with the product s being released. This short fund is either looking for dilution or a failed attempt at the PC business which would basically be calling neonode management liars about being close to signing. Either way this short has some mighty big balls..

A growing roster of companies is looking to the steering wheel for a wide range of applications from driver monitoring to human machine interfacing. Companies like Neusoft are adding biometric content to steering wheels to monitor the health of drivers, while Seeing Machines is working with Takata to add its driver monitoring tech to steering wheels for everything from commercial vehicle applications to self-driving cars from companies such as General Motors.

But maybe the most compelling vision is coming from Neonode in Stockholm, Sweden, which is using low-cost, LED-based “multi-sensing” interfaces to HMI-enable steering wheels. Neonode is best known for bringing capacitive-touch-like functionality to non-touch displays such as the Sensus system from Volvo. But the company is working to touch enable a much broader range of surfaces – including surfaces throughout the vehicle cabin and for keyless access to the car – enabling a wider range of gesture recognition applications.

Neonode’s vision is not only changing the concept of keyless entry – in the future to include raising or lowering windows or maybe starting the car with gestures – but also the process of interfacing with all manner of in-vehicle systems. In fact, a Neonode-enhanced steering wheel combined with a head-up display will obviate the need for hardware controllers (bye-bye BMW iDrive and Audi MMI) and greatly mitigate the need to glance away from the road.
n fact, the more you think about it, it just makes senses – which happens to be the company’s marketing slogan. Putting interfaces and touch-enabled displays on steering wheels resolves a multitude of challenges including driver distraction and lefty/right issues. And this is aside from the fact that systems for entering and recognizing kanji - used in the biggest and fastest growing automotive market in the world - are best mounted on the steering wheel not only to resolve the lefty-righty issue but to keep eyes on the road.

So, to recap, implementation of Neonode’s multi-sensing system products throughout a car will allow for the replacement of the capacitive touch display with a touch enabled non-touch display, deletion of the hardware controller, significant alteration (if not deletion) of the door handle, replacement of the keyfob (with a key card?) and enhancement of the steering wheel for a variety of new purposes – all intended to enhance the driver’s focus on the road.

Are we ready for Neonode’s vision of turning displays – or any other surface – into interfaces? It makes a lot more sense than removing the steering wheel.

If that's true then why are there examples of short squeezes every day in which they loose 20% to even over 100% at times ? I can guarantee that had Brunton not left them thinking they had more time before the PC deal was signed , this stock would not be at $2.12. It would be over $3.00 ! And yes, it is greed when your ride a stock from $8.00 down to $2.00 and don't have the sense to cover when the company is obviously turning the corner , albeit slowly..

According to today's WSJ, they've only covered 271,000 shares. The short float is still 22.8% . IMO , with that data they will be wrecked with a PC signing . Well see. Undervalued ? YES !

The shorts are doing absolutely everything they can to hold this down. They are screwed if and when that PC deal is signed. They will loose it all overnight. That is whats called GREED !

Talking bankruptcy now just makes ZERO sense. At least for now, they have plenty of money to get them through for several quarters. This fact along with nearly guaranteed improved revenue from printers and auto and this company should improve substantially. The key word here is "should" . They need a computer contract signed on the dotted line. I believe the shorts are betting this doesn't happen . That would explain the lack of substantial covering.

He bought 10,000 shares . If I were an insider that was confident about the future , I would take the entire windfall made when the stock was at $7.00 and reinvest every last dime at this penny stock level. I'm just saying..

It doesnt matter. This stock will continue to trend down until that computer contract is SIGNED ! The longer it takes , the lower the share price . IMO

  • vinnywillwin vinnywillwin Nov 7, 2014 12:29 PM Flag

Mike, you said they probably get 50 cents per 2.5 inch screen . I'm not so sure they get that much. It sure would be nice to have a better idea of screen size margin. Maybe that is a short seller issue as well. ?

  • vinnywillwin vinnywillwin Nov 7, 2014 12:19 PM Flag

It was the best call they have ever had. Had it not been , you and I would still be butting heads. They covered everything I needed to know (except white goods) and did it quite well. I like Brunton. He seems like a humble guy that's doing his best. I'm glad Gelbtuch is gone . Never liked the way that guy came across, cocky and arrogant . Good riddance to him. The financials are improving very slowly, obviously not fast enough to cause the shorts to exit. They are looking for dilution to kill the price before covering. That's the only thing I can figure out. At 2 bucks a share , they are really getting greedy and perhaps foolish. Puzzling !

  • vinnywillwin vinnywillwin Nov 7, 2014 11:26 AM Flag

That PC contract gets signed and its game over for the short sellers. I firmly believe that is what is strangling this stock. They don't think it will happen. One other thing. Diversification has saved this company so far. Without it , they would have been bankrupt long ago. Read the 10Q. They lost 74% of the ereader revenue they once had. Had that not happened , the share price would probably be $10.00 ..

  • vinnywillwin vinnywillwin Nov 7, 2014 10:02 AM Flag

And again, the trend continues down even after that great call yesterday. They have ran the numbers and judging buy the stock price don't feel that Neon has enough capital to make this work and will need to dilute again. This is the most puzzling stock I have ever followed ..
