Imagine.. i agree with you wholly. But I think the commodity cycle has FINALLY CHANGED. If CLF can maintain $30 /ton gross margins and more MFG come back to this country including steel( and it may happen from what presidential candidates in both parties are saying in the campaign), CLF can be in a driver's seat as they are the only one in the IO pellets here. In addition, tariffs are now hurting also Steel Imports and that will help CLF and steel companies. I bought some NUE when it was $38 and now its at almost $49
I see here now much poor quality of Posts and most of the old timers like you, me, surf, atrue, dep, lishe and even oht are generally gone and posting very little
That may be a possibility in partnership with someone like NUE or MT. I not aware where the idea came from?
CLF really has NO Money to build DRI plant for $700 mil unless its in partnership with NUE which may put up as much as $500 mil toward it.. Nor they have any money to buy Essar Plant.. So you people stop dreaming about it. They still have some $2.5 B in debt and its a big headache for the SP to move up.
I doubt it. May be worth $7 but not $12 at this stage. Will all depend on what Q-1 Earnings and Cash Flow are.
CLF SP Must go up asEearnings and CC deadline approaches.... now about 4 weeks away. The Earnings will be positive. C ya all.
The DRI Concept looks great, but I hate to see CLF take on additional debt of $700 mil for DRI Pellet Plant which will make Total Debt in excess of $3 B unless their SP get to around $10 and they show atleast $1.00 in earnings which can give them a MKt Cap of $1.8 B
For Q-1 results to be announced on 4/28/16 Before Markets Open. Analysts have improved Earnings Est from a Loss of $0.35 to a Loss of $0.18... Loss cut in almost half. SP tanking under $2.50 in early going so far
Any thoughts on the amount of sales of USIO pallets as a result of Tariffs and Steel production to
expand? AS of last QTR's CC, LG said , CLF will sell 17.5 mil tons of IO pellets in USA. I think the number will go up as factories begin to ramp up steel production.
Aren't you a bit too tough on that muckycon Guy? Shorts have controlled this stock for a long time and still do the damage when it suits them. Also, so long as Dollar remains stable and doesn't go up much, Commodities prices will rise and So will CLF's SP
Shorts are back in Control. CLF will make A sustained move up ONLY upon good Q-1 Earnings and what any positive Guidance LG gives for Q-2 outlook. SB IO will remain in $55-$60 range and thats not bad for CLF
SP held up well in spite of terrorists attack in Brussels. Earnings on 4/216 will speak a volume . Analysts have upped the Q-1 earnings estimates... Much smaller loss than earlier anticipated.
