Crecy or anyone. Here is the next interesting part of this short situation. The number of shares short has been relatively constant for a year; about 48-50 mil. shares. I wonder whether these shorts have something to do with a hedge that one of the big shareholders has in place. Is there any way this idea makes sense? It seems strange to have shorts holding this level for this long with associated risk of some positive development.
Altho I have owned and accumulated shares for a couple of months, The fairly stable and large short position continues to be a puzzle for me. This company seems to be nothing like the highly volatile companies that normally attract short investors. certainly not 20 % of the float where the float is so large. I'm starting to wonder whether this short position is some protection to the very large position held by David Frost. does this make sense to anyone else?
