" because the FDA determined that these products were shipped beyond their shelf life"
Correction: this recall was in the news, but it is obviously not the reason for Pfizer's acquisition.
Pfizer is buying Allergan, the maker of NATRELLE 133 and CUI series tissue expanders because the FDA determined that these products were shipped beyond their shelf life. So now DERMacell will be competing against Pfizer in the breast recon skin tissue market. Bu hopefully DERMacell will become the superior product for two reasons: it has fewer impurities(DNA) and it is less expensive, as Roger stated in his recent webcasts.
A word to the wise~
1. There's some financial funny business taking place
2. The SPY technology becomes discredited or obsolete
3. Competition is taking market share
4. You no longer trust management.
5. You're on margin and need to liquidate to generate immediate cash.
Otherwise, it would be best to believe the story and hang on, imo
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Hidden away in the cc transcript is a reference to increased Q2 litigation expenses, which subsided in Q3. Just wondering if the company was busy swatting Stryker away with their IP weapons.
Any thoughts on this, buzzy?
"concerns related to business development remain high given the size of the sales force".
By this, do you mean that the size of the labor force is too small?
"The most upbeat meeting I have ever attended or listened to"
Agreed, it was a continuous flow of good news.
Here's to a glowing future for SPY!
I'll chime in with my 2 cents + when I come up for air, probably tomorrow.
About that stock price....don't have a clue,
Let's see what the analysts have to say.
p.s .Endo, do you prefer red or white wine for next year's feast?
I reread the transcript from the Oct 28 cc. I was struck with Arun's comments that the company is expecting good things from both Arthrex and ROW sales, and that he has more confidence that the seasonally strong Q4 will kick in.. It would be nice if they could top revenue expectations for both the Q4 and full year....so let's stay tuned! .
"Still haven't seen the bulk of the 7million shorted shares show up"
Can you elaborate?
What is this statement based on?
The name of the game is UPOD....under promise, over deliver.
From Bill Gates in the 90s, to Steve Jobs it's a time honored tradition for CEOs to manage expectations and surprise on the upside.

"Maybe the tide is finally turning"
Not as of today, Oct 26.
Latest numbers show an INCREASE of 540K, or 8% to a new record high of 7,227M shares.
An increase in the average daily volume from 325K to 380K brought the days to cover ratio
down to 17 (from 22 days previous).
If Arun meets/beats the numbers, the action on Wed/Thurs could be VERY interesting!
