I don't think enriching themselves with big salaries is the plan. I like the association of Arlon Group with Continental Grain. I think the plan is to use Alico stock as a currency to grow the company with the help of the information and expertise provided by Arlon/Continental Grain. They plan to enrich themselves by making the stock go up substantially over time. I'am on board
I do think otherwise. Horrendous leadership, the biggest negative on this stock, replaced by professional management whose interests are aligned with those of minority shareholders. They make money if the stock rises from $37, so do we. Arbitrageurs are naturally selling creating a great entry point for long term investors.
Clearly, thanks to rising production and tapering capex,, this PBT is different than the PBT that was confined to the 12-14 range over the past year. Thought it would happen a month ago, but hopefully this second better than expected distribution will now trigger a rerating.
