I thought the statement indicated the $6.83 was considered taxable income not a LTCG? Did I misinterpret the release? If it is considered a LTCG, that would be a blessing for me as I have a large tax loss carry over from the good ole days (2008).
I agree with your sentiment Grade. After being in this stock for many years, I am extremely frustrated with these ridiculous pps movements, hence my fiery comment above. Notice I said the stock is a POS with no mention of the actual company. I've come to the final conclusion that this is an uninvestable stock period. It is a traders dream though but that is not my style. I am so glad I sold half my position earlier this year probably about the same time you indicated doing so-Wally
Anything is possible with this POS Stock. Guess Mold's prediction of 52 week low after earnings when it was trading near $25 wasn't as nutty as I initially thought!
You've been a busy boy this mornin' b2b! Thanks for the find. I'm not sure about the lumpy comment as they have been acquiring properties pretty regularly Q to Q. As more analysts cover this, the pps should move higher along with executing their strategy of course.
I'll take it b2b thanks. Keeping my fingers crossed for a divvy increase. Even a penny would help quite a bit imo-Wally
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Wow I didn't catch that. It's great to know we have such a knowledgeable and successful investor involved so heavily with us!
I hear you on the no one wants higher rates Hana. I've been using all the 0% 18 month deals to help pay for my daughter's college expenses on the basis that when she graduates I'll be able to pay off all the cheap money I've used. Hopefully, we'll see NRZ pps rise at that time also!
Very true and I continue to hope for that result as well which is why I have so many shares of NRZ. Just couldn't help but buy on the dips thinking it would get back to $7 ($14 post split) and there have been many of those hence my overweight position. I'm just too stubborn to sell though as it is my belief this thing is way undervalued especially with interest rates projected to rise next year!
I did see that b2b. However, I'm viewing it as a meh since this stock has traded at the $14 level ($7 presplit) in the past year. I also remember we all thought yay this is where the value has been recognized and we're going up from here. Then wham back down to the high $5s low $6s and stayed there. I'd be much happier in the mid $13s (post split). I'm sure there is a good reason for all this which I'm not seeing but I guess it's just the market. Doesn't thrill me all the same-Wally
jiang-he is probably correct on the pps being stagnant short term and he is a bit jaded after he lost a bundle on his arbitrage/options play years ago so it is understandable. However, as a long term investor and not a trader, I am happy collecting the divvy until simo shows the market the anticipated growth for 2015 (I say another 30%). The pps downtick gives me more time to accumulate more shares.
It is aggravating when a company doesn't give forward guidance mainly because the WS Analysts need to be spoon fed since they are too ignorant to connect the dots and make their own forecasts. What good are the analysts if they are always beholden to the company doing the forecasting. I own another fabless semi which supplies Apple. They won't tell anybody anything since they are afraid they will lose the biz-talk about aggravating! GLTA-Wally
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I also bought more in the low 23s but I always have a hard time selling them when the pps goes over 24. I always think this is the big breakout :)
Grade-I remember an earlier post you made comparing the sound quality of the iPhone 6 and mini retina with the air after crus lost the air socket to maxim. You said that the products with crus were better sounding than the product with maxim.
I have an iPhone 6, mini retina and an air. I have to tell you that both my wife and I hear a noticeable difference in the sound just as you described! Hands down, the 6 and retina sound way better than the air based upon the ear test. In fact it was my wife who brought it to my attention and I completely agreed with her (not just because I know what's good for me either).
I personally prefer a cap gain over a divvy classification like newm since I have loss carry overs from the good ole days in 2008. However, I thought snr would be considered a divvy no?
Very disappointed with the pps today. This has a smell of speculators cashin in from the $18 wi price. I do agree there is uncertainty as to the divvy payout which doesn't help support the stock price. Until that gets clarified, this may very well trade erratically. I remember the statement you quoted above and thought at the time it would hurt the pps since it wasn't very reassuring. Yes they will continue to pay a divvy but the amount is in question.
Yes and just to balance those gains, SNR has gone down by the sane amount :( Just can't catch a break b2b.
