Someone on another board told OJ to go suck himself, and he injured his back trying to do so.
I don't regard getting a bj from an aide as a come perversion. About Obama's compulsive monogamy: there are some men who actually stay faithful to thei9r wives for years and die before they commit adultery.
I love the smell of stupid in the afternoon! Napalm in the morning has nothing on this!
OJ: You are simply incorrect about any encouragement by FDR for trade with Germany. You may try to guide us to to an objective site refuting what I say. (IHR is NOT an objective site.)
The vast majority of abortions are carried out in the first trimester. These do not result in dumpsters full for fetuses, just a bit of unorganized tissue which is flushed down the toilet.
From Hebrews11:1, "Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence for things not seen.", and that is just the problem. We may hope for eternal life, great power and wealth, but these things "hoped for" have no substance, and for things which are not sense-data ("things not seen") there is no evidence.
I believe, but I am certain that my beliefs are only a way for me to comfort myself.
Rev. 7:9 suggests that 144,000 people are going to go to heaven. If you total up the number of persosn who have lived upon the Earth in all history you can figure out the odds on getting into heaven.
Unions are not there to provide mere representation or to communicate with management; they are there to give the workers the clooout of being a large organization which may pack greater punch than an individual worker might have..
I have never bought a lottery ticket in my life. What makes you imagine that buying a lottery ticket is liberal? Wanting to be Really Rich is a Conservative virtue.
Unions represent a way for the workers to balance the size and power of their employers. Unions tend to have relatively short-term outlook wanting more pay, better working conditgoin, better grievance procedures, or some other similar things. They do not want to overthrow the system, bring Revolution, eliminate the bourgeosie, or some other long-term goal similar to this.
The grievances of the workers will not go unanswered. If unions are reduced to impotency the workers will listen to the Commies, the Socialists, and other Radicals who promise to change the system.
You might remember that in Russia, China, and Cuba organizatoins of workers and peasants were brutally suppressed, and this was one of the forces which brought the workers to suport the Commies.
Towared victory always!
At the Post office I was a union member from the time I was hired until I was promoted to supervisor. I experienced no upward mobility limitations.
Upward mobility is very desirable, but increasingly it is becoming an illusion. Persons who work in the line jobs find themselves increasingly supervised by persons who came to managerial positions through internship programs. I was talking to an older friend of my nephew's who worked as an unpaid intern at a company in NJ which makes some stuff out of plastic that was able to let about two thirds of their employees go as they started using a 3D printing procedure on an automated assembly line.
He said the employees who remain are very grateful to still have jobs, but he feels that they are resentful of his supervision of them since he had only been at the company for a few months while they had worked there for years.
Upward mobility is for many persons an unattainable dream. Most persons experience between zero and three promotions during their careers.
I must go look for the source of this figure. I don't remember where I read it.
The"knockout game" is mean and nasty, but in NYC we have only seen a small number (like 20) incidents of this. We have many other types of violence which are worse problems.
Employment in USA is changing as employers give their workers ever-worse jobs and working conditions. In today's NY Times is an Op-Ed piece about how many workers are having their status changed from employees to independent contractors and getting no healthcare benefits or matching 401(k) benefits, or other benefits.
The decline of unions in USA has permitted this exploitation of the workers, and it may provide a basis for their radicalization.
If we compare to Germany we have a somewhat higher unemployment rate (Theirs' is 5.25%.), but if we compare to France we do better since theirs' is 10.9%.
We might look at some other factors. So many new jobs pay minimum wage or just above that figure. So many persons have found that they are now "independent contractors" doing the same work they did before but getting far fewer benefits; the NY Times has an Op-Ed piece about this today.
Obama is too far to the Right, and we can expect coming out of the coming chaos to have a socialist government. We can thank the GOP for letting so many persons become disillusioned with our economic system.
Of course not. I also might have trouble conceiving a child with my lady friend who started and completed menopause over twenty years ago.
During the Bush days Bush and Cheney occasionally bounced ideas off of the head of Miles, the man who cleans the Oval office.
Shortly before the invasion of Iraq Cheney and Bush are in the office, and Cheney says to Miles, "Miles we have been discussing the invasion of Iraq, and we have figured out that we will kill about one million civilians and a beautiful blonde with big boobs."
Miles replies, "Why do you want to kill a beautiful blonde with big boobs?"
Cheney says to Pres. Bush, "See, I told you no one would care if we killed a million Iraqi civilians."
Bangie: The history of Iraq goes back to 1919 when the Brits carved out this state from the Ottoman Empire. They made this following the map of ancient Babylonia. It mattered not to them that the state contained three main groupings -- Sunni, Shi'ite, and Kurd -- who would have terrible troubles getting along with each other.
When we deposed the dictator Saddam we ensured that there would be fighting between these groups which would probably only be resolved by breakup into three states. The Shi'ites and the Kurds live in the oil-rich parts of Iraq while the Sunnis live in the oil-poor parts, and they may have a long time before they forgive us for leaving them impoverished.
You are certainly correct, but Obama cannot get through Congress an extension of unemployment comp or an improvement of food stamp distribution.
We see an increase in the number of minimum wage employees and a marked increase in the number of employees who find themselves forced to become "independent contractors" working at their old jobs but left without benefits. On today's NY times Op-Ed page there is an article about this.
I look at this with calm. As the working class proletariat becomes impoverished the Day of Revolution is brought ever-closer.
Toward victory always!
Leaving Washington in the eighteenth or nineteenth centuries meant that that the President was pretty much out of touch with everything in government. This changed during the twentieth century, and in the present century a President can be playing golf, be at the ranch in Crawford, or in Hawaii and consult with his aides and with almost anyone else in the world to carry out his job.
I saw little wrong with Bush going to Crawford so often or with Pers. Obama's vacation in Hawaii.
