This is certainly true. I don't know anything more than the average shareholder (maybe less), but it seems like they have gather some strong players in the medical device field onto the team. But as you said, it has been a long, long time with many, many "right around the corners."
that obviously would be better news for Bovie ....... after listening to yesterday's conference call, everything generally sounded good .... we now just wait for 2015 for any appreciable share price increase ???
Would each surgeon have their own generator? Or would each site have one generator (the size of the facility might make one unit impractical)
Bike - Admittedly, I don't have the knowledge or experience with investing in the stock market that you do .. but my question is .... if over 17 million shares are "thinking or hoping" that the Bovie share price will go up (it doesn't mean that they will be right), should I worry too much about 125,000 shares "thinking or hoping" that the price goes down? Granted, I would like it if everyone would think that Bovie's share price would go up, but that is obviously not going to happen.
Not sure what the reason is, but it continues today.
Granted it drifted down a long way, but the stock price has doubled since the first of the year with the changes at the top. Let's hope it keeps it going.
If half of what Seeking Alpha says comes true, I think we will be very happy. It all makes reasonable sense, now it just has to play out that way.
The board has been quiet the last six weeks. No Wise, no Bike ??? Is anyone hearing if things have improved with our new leadership and direction - whatever that might be?
given the size of this company (tiny .... in respect to others) you can't look at it on a day to day basis - which I'm sure you know that. But it is up over 33% since Gershon came on board (again a small window of time), but from where the general direction that we were headed .... I will take it
It has been a very quiet period for Bike or Wise. The market (or someone) likes what Gershon has in store for Bovie. He plans to get the Bovie message out to the world, how he plans to do that I don't know, but apparently he has a plan.
I think he is referring to your investment being worth less than 10% of what you have it in. Since Bovie's price is just over $ 2, in order to lose 90% of your investment Bovie would have had to been purchased for over $ 20 for that to be true.
Bike - I am not questioning your understanding of the deal (I'm sure you spend more time dealing with this stuff than I do … I am just a shareholder), but this quote is lifted from the Bovie website commenting on the new deal. It talks about getting funding ????
"Bovie's management believes that this funding and the associated operational changes will accelerate the growth of J-Plasma® which continues to gain support from influential surgeons across the United States."
As I mentioned on a new message thread a few minutes ago, if Rob Gershon can get J-Plasma to be a player in the market place with the share price improvement (if that happens) that follows the additional shares wouldn't matter all that much .. the shareholders will be plenty happy with the share price (again, if that happens).
I'm assuming the money from he additional shares will be used to fund the J-Plasma Unveiling (Part 2). If we continue on our current pace we will tread water (at best). If, if, if J-Plasma becomes a success the additional shares won't really matter much in the grand scheme of things.
I thought I saw the exercise price was the closing price the day Robert was hired, but I might have that confused with something else.
Replacing Andrew was the right thing to do at this point. I have no idea who the couple people coming on board are, but they have good credentials.
