Can i get a little help on the dividend

Nothing is guaranteed in the stock market . But in my opinion I like to look at the earnings per share . Are they estimated to go up or down ? I also like to look at the dividend history . Are the dividends holding steady or going up ? Going down is not a good sign .

I think IEP is looking good . Also , look at stocks like SO or DUK , ARLP , AROW ,FUN . But never put all your eggs in one basket .

Well best of luck to you .

According to an AP article in the news paper, the count comes from the people drawing unemployment and the figures are based upon the increases in people applying for benefits each month.

So , when those people stop collecting unemployment they're no longer counted . Also, those working less than 30 hours a week are having a hard time making ends meet .However, the unemployment rate will be going up now ,as the oil companies will be laying off .

Now that the Southern boarder was open we even have less jobs to go around . Also, we have to pay for their medical , schooling and lunches . Things are not that good . Now after they take from the rich ( or those of us that worked ,saved and invested anything ) Who will they take it off of next ?

Well have a good day , as tomorrow may not be as well .

Lower oil hurting the pipelines ?

A response from the CLMT board stated :

I think what is going on is this market is driven by ETFs. They just short the etf XLE and everything energy goes down. There is no discrimination between companies. I have noticed that my stocks cannot go up, if they are shorting my etf. Your stock goes where the ETF goes. I don't like it. Blackrock likes it! Less

  • Now with the oil down I hope I stay in the green . I didn't think lower oil prices would make the pipelines stocks drop . As I thought they were paid by the amount pushed through their pipelines . I would think refiners like CLMT would do well .

Now with the oil down, I would think refiners like CLMT would do well . I'm holding on to this and my pipelines too .
    Best of luck to all

Well I'm an investor ,not a trader . So I don't care if the share price is going down . As long as the dividend stays the same or is going up . I may feel better if my portfolio is worth more over all . However , that doesn't effect my returns . I worry when they stop or cut their dividends . That's the time to sell .

If the share price is going down it may be time to place your portfolio into the reinvest plan . As for myself I have some in the reinvest plan . I also depend on some cash returns to pay my taxes and / or have spending money .

Well have a good day as the market has always been going up and down .

    Earnings in the black

    by stonergreg13 Oct 28, 2014 8:55 AM

If we're in the black , it should be back. Hello 2015 and it has been a long wait .
Diversified real estate investment trusts (REITs) invest in a wide variety of real estate assets, including leveraged portfolios of real estate financial products, such as mortgage backed securities, agency and non-agency mortgage investments, and other debt, along with physical properties. REITs are required to pay out most of their earnings in dividends, and as a result tend to offer very high dividend yields.

As an investor and not a trader . I'll worry when they stop or cut their dividends and / or distributions . While I hate to see my over all portfolio worth dropping . I also know I'm holding all dividend and or distributions paying stocks . MMP's low for this year was $58.11 and the high was $90.08 . The market has always been going up and down . So it looks good for the traders and means nothing to the income investors at this point .

CEQP ............. TTM 0.14 ,estimated earnings this year 0.19 ,estimated earnings next year 0.55 ...Paying out almost 6% now and more than likely to grow ,both in price and dividends .Looks like it's earnings are growing. I'll hold on and ride it out .

Looking for a more steady dividend history . You may want to look at these. They all pay out good returns

IEP , T, FUN, ARLP, BPL, MIC, KMI , SPH, NS, CLMT, NAT, ALDW and AROW also pays out about 6% if you count the 2% stock split every year .

Well best of luck to you and don't put all your eggs in one basket

A moron wouldn't have the cash saved up to pay his taxes , or whatever else may pop up . Look ,if you can't afford to pay your taxes , I can only guess you're not investing your money right . I gave you some good stocks to look over . Plus, you should have saved up some of your money . So when things like this happen you can be prepared . If you didn't save up for things like this , your the moron .So stop crying and learn from your mistakes . Plus , you sound like you know it will pass already . "Be prepared for a very nasty surprise when you file your tax returns next April ." So you're the one that sounds unprepared .

So you know the guards that bring the drugs in for the inmates . He!! , they should have some money you can borrow to pay your taxes . Unless they're saving it up for their own bail and lawyers . As sooner or later they all get busted .However, you're right about one thing , drugs and medications are one in the same . I guess if the guards gets caught bring in the drugs , they just claim it was their medication .

Anyway, if you can't be prepared to invest and pay your taxes in the stock market . Then try your luck as a guard and selling your drugs to the inmates . Oh and by the way , pay your taxes on your drug money by claiming you made it elsewhere . Thereby cleaning up your illegal money .

Well , best of luck moron.

fredmertz999 are you as stupid as you sound ? As for myself , I'm well diversified in my investments and I don't even work for a living .No , their not all winners . But there are more winners than losers . I can post any time of day or night . I may not like to pay my taxes, but I pay them every April .I can and will pay my higher taxes this year if need be . So smart people like you can eat .

I bet when you go see your drug dealer , she makes you lay on a couch and talk to her for an hour first. What kind of medication does she have you on ?

Well best of luck to you and stay well diversified .

First , If the merger is so bad . Why did the stock KMP jump from $80. to well over $94. after the announcement ? Second , what the he!! are you still doing here ? Third, this will be one of the biggest mergers ever . So my guess is, I'll be paying some heavy taxes this year . Then collecting better returns there after . That's why I invest , for the returns .

If the more educated stockholders vote the way you see it . Well I guess you have nothing to worry about . Also, if the more educated stockholders feel it's a bad deal and vote NO . Then I guess I'll have nothing to worry about either.

So vote and have a good day .

    Sentiment: Hold

  • Well I only own 200 units of KMP .I don't understand the tax payment I'm getting myself into . However, I have no education and that's why I own stocks . I let the people that went to college work for me . I normally don't even vote . I let that up to the more educated , so I'm just here for the ride .

This looks to me like I may pay a higher tax this year and enjoy the ride there after. So I voted yes .

However, if you want to sell and looking for growth and dividend too, how's this look ?

IEP ............. TTM $6.25 ,estimated earnings this year $9.41 ,estimated earnings next year $13.34 ,paying out just under 6% now and more than likely to grow.

However, if this is more than you want to spend .Or just looking for a dividend . You may want to look these over. They all still pay out over 5% I think.

T, FUN, ARLP, BPL, MIC, CMLP, SPH, NS, CLMT, NAT and AROW also pays out about 6% if you count the 2% stock split every year .

Well best of luck to you and don't put all your eggs in one basket and do your own homework .

Best of luck to all .
