Do you guys remember this post from 1 1/2 years ago? I had raised this possibility on earlier dates and immediately sjstooges jumped on me. I strongly suspect he is an "insider" a wolf in sheep's clothing and the purported savior of the shareholders, he of proxy fight fame. Why do you suppose he went quiet all of a sudden after the bungled vote and his being put on the board of directors of the former Blockbuster, Inc.? I actually spoke with him a couple of years ago and really rattled his nerves. He later slipped up and essentially confirmed his identity to me on this message board.

Taz, I simply got tired of all the nonsense and decided to take a long sabbatical. I'm now thinking this long and extremely frustrating saga is now close to an end, so I decided to check on the board. The recent event with the bonds is certainly interesting but I cannot speculate as to what it all means. I am hoping for the best but am ready for the worse.

About 3-4 months ago I did speak with the attorney for the current bktcy trustee and asked him what was taking so long. He told me that he believed the CH7 process should be concluded by year's end. He was still in the process of recovering some relatively minor accounts and pegged them at a few million dollars, but nothing which would be significant enough for distribution purposes. He claimed he had no knowledge of the much theorized bankruptcy remote trusts and gave me the sense he did not care about them, one way or another. At the end of the day, the so-called professionals are simply collecting money so they can be paid. I don't believe they really care about any recovery for creditors or shareholders. It's a systemic failure.

So, I simply resolved myself to waiting. I've waited nearly 5 years and I can certainly wait another few months. I only posted today because I noticed that yk88 had posted and concluded that he too must be seeing an end in sight.

Where are the shares coming from for this debt for equity conversion? Do you suppose that unfilled bid order for 23+ million shares from last week has some connection to this supposed debt for equity conversion?
