Is the price drop because of shorting or selling?

This stock is routinely attacked and mis-understood. Today people are trading it as a pure oil play and seeing the price drops for oil - they sell. They ignore not only the full assets, but also hedging contracts. They also ignore a company that has paid a dividend as promised even through the financial crisis when the yield surpassed 15%. It is now at 12%. It was brutally shorted by Hedgeye and very shady reporting in Barrons the past 2-3 years - and it all turned out to be b.s. For the past 3 years I sell up to 50% of my shares after any 20% gain and I buy on days like this when it has large drops that have nothing to do with their business performance.

    Sentiment: Buy

People scream and scream and scream - when the fact is it really is as simple as buy low, sell high. This is a steal. An incredible yield - great long term - stable company. Yes - hedgeeye did it in last year - even though it all proved false - and now people fear the drop in oil. With the price this low - and the yield this high - it is practically guaranteed......People need to learn to welcome these big moves up or down. They are the clearest buy and sell signs in the world.......

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Go look at LINE in 2008 and 2009. Oil tumbled to lower than these rates - whole world in a much worse recession.....LINE NEVER cut its dividend and came roaring back. I expect that oil will not climb as fast this time - but the demand for oil is already greater than in '09 and '10.......

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
