What happened to May? They lied.

True. But come on, Jimmy; no name calling. Let them sell and argue about "cassette tapes" (gasp). I've been at the annual meetings for years, heard the top dog Denver surgeons (no shills) praise the technology and I understand the military's interest ($2 million contract) in the technology. Maybe you have been at the meetings. These same short seller arguments were made when the stock was trading at $3.00. The Ventana (Roche) management team knows what they are doing and believe me, they put their (own) money where their mouth is. No financing was used in their acquisition of their controlling interest of Accelerate.

  • I'd love to buy more at a lower price. When the FDA approves their BACcel device (not a stretch) in 2015, every hospital in the western world will be required to purchase one.

I purchased this stock as an anti-Ackman ego/hedge fund play. I bet he convinced Johnson to be the CEO. Maybe he went to Harvard too!

No info on Venaxis; sorry. I am a Benjamin Graham ("Intelligent Investor") devotee and don't really trade stocks. I recently purchased J.C. Penny as a value long term play, same as I did AXDX. I buy enough to make it worth while. Sort of a reverse Ackman hedge fund purchase of a very old company almost destroyed by ego driven children . I also stay out of Vegas. Alpine skiing is my major vice :) More fun.

I live in Colorado and have attended 4 or more annual meetings, before the company moved to AZ. Spoke to their securities attorney during the last meeting when the new Ventana (Roche) veterans took over. These people put their own money up and know their medical devices. They do not say anything publicly; they were bit in the rear by some comments with Ventana and (it appears) put everything in their SEC filings. This company has a device that will be mandatory in every hospital in the hemisphere that has a risk manager. Look at the newest annual report. Bug detection/antibiotic in less than 6 hours; it currently takes a microbiology lab 48 to 72 hours to just identify the bug. I was blown out of my chair the first time I heard this. I have been following and buying the stock over the past five years. This concept (no debt/ no hustlers; top shelf management team) is an absolute home run. Hang on. If you have a lot of $$ in this, go visit their facility in Tuscon. Get a tour and you'll be convinced.

They don't put out any news. Got burned once when they (same management team) were running Ventana, which was sold to Roche for $3.4 (?) billion. A friend who attended the last annual meeting indicated 50 units were being sent out, all over the globe. At a their first (Denver) annual meeting I attended when Larry and his team took over, they said 2015 is the year the diagnostic machine (BACcel) sales will begin. This company is a home run. The proof is in the insider purchases... and the fact that every hospital risk manager in the Western world will require their companies to purchase one. Imagine: detecting bugs/determining antibiotics in 2-6 hours. Labs currently take 48-72 hours to culture bugs. If grandma dies, the hospital gets sued because they didn't have the BACcel machine. And just wait until they start selling to Veterinarians. This is the ground floor of an amazing technology.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
