Number of Planned CNG and LNG Stations

Despite the uncertainty that declining oil prices have inserted into the market for NGVs, the number of planned CNG stations continues to rise. Looking ahead, as the chart illustrates, AFDC shows 185 CNG stations in the planning stage. AFDC data shows there being 69 LNG stations in the planning stage. Planned stations are stations that have been either announced, are in permitting, or are under construction. The list of planned stations also includes stations where installation of fueling infrastructure has been completed but the stations have yet to begin dispensing fuel. In the case of LNG stations, installation of fueling infrastructure has been completed at many of the LNG stations reported as planned in the AFDC database, but these stations have not yet begun dispensing LNG pending sufficient demand from customers to warrant the opening of these stations.
Bodes well for the industry and clne.

Clean Energy Fuels Corp upgrades two Alabama facilities to offer LNG for trucks
A California company recently opened two stations that offer liquified natural gas to trucks in Theodore and Birmingham.
Clean Energy Fuels Corp. said that the two sites -- Birmingham Flying J and Theodore Pilot -- were among four new stations opened in the Southeast United States. Clean Energy officials said the facilities would help support the operations of a Jacksonville, Fla.-based trucking company, Raven Transport, which recently added 115 trucks to its natural gas fleet.
Clean Energy already had stations in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas, the company said. In addition to the new sites opened in Alabama, Atlanta, Ga. and Pearl River, Miss., Clean Energy also plans to deploy more mobile LNG stations to help provide refueling services in the Southeast.
"The natural gas fueling ecology continues to strengthen as America's largest shippers and their logistics companies transition to natural gas," Chad Lindholm, vice president of Clean Energy, said in a statement.
"As these four stations open and join our existing infrastructure, it becomes increasingly feasible for fleets hauling in the Southeast and beyond to make the switch to natural gas."
Headquartered in Newport Beach, Calif., Clean Energy builds and operates fueling stations, manufactures technology and develops facilities to support the use of natural gas.
"These projects will provide the kind of infrastructure Alabama needs to support businesses, governments and individuals that want to reap the advantages of alternative fuels," Mark Bentley, executive director of the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition, said in a prepared statement. "Fuels like LNG are an easy sell when there are convenient places to purchase them."

TruStar Energy says it has been awarded contracts with UPS to install 15 high-capacity compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations throughout the U.S.
The stations are planned for 11 states and will fuel over 2,000 UPS vehicles once the package-delivery company's recently announced 1,400 additions to its fleet are deployed.
The UPS CNG fleet includes both Class 8 tractors and "package cars" (i.e., the familiar brown delivery trucks). These multi-lane, multi-compressor fueling stations will allow fast fueling of Class 8 tractors and package cars and, in certain locations, will also include time-fill fueling for Class 8 tractors when practical.
In addition to the design and construction of the stations, TruStar Energy was contracted to provide service and maintenance for 13 of the 15 stations on an annual contract basis.
Station construction has already begun in Oklahoma City and New Orleans.
"We are very proud and excited to be working with UPS to assist in their continuing deployment of CNG vehicles," says Adam Comora, president of TruStar Energy. "UPS operates one of the most recognizable fleets in the world, and seeing the blue CNG diamond on the sides of their tractors makes a huge statement to other freight carriers throughout the country."

I have re-read parts of the NPRM and find it interesting that many items everyone is concerned is addressed in the report, especially Google.
One common comment is as follows:
We seek comment on any costs, in terms of impacts on unlicensed operations both in the 2473-2483.5 MHz band and below 2473 MHz (i.e., in the 2400-2473 MHz band) that might flow from Globalstar’s proposed low-power terrestrial network. To the extent that "any party asserts" that Globalstar’s low-power network may cause interference or substantially constrain other operations, "we encourage the party" to submit technical analyses detailing their concerns, as well as a detailed assessment of any associated costs. (facts only accepted, not hearsay)
Clearly, no one objecting has provided any technical or "detailed" assessment of any associated costs.
It's VERY clearly written in the NPRM item by item up for discussion the burden problems/issues is solely put on the shoulders of those objecting and NOT the FCC, plain and simply.
The more I read the NPRM the more I realize GSAT is sitting on a gold mine that the only way the naysayers would win is through delay after delay.

Looks like Google is not debating the "technology" issues with the FCC engineering division but want the Rules Division to issue in the R&O comments previously here about keeping 2472-2483.5 open to other users.
Add the appropriate language and issue R&O.
Yes as many have said here, Google knows G* is sitting on very valuable asset.
He knows TLPS will "eventually" be approved. He needs to "try" and cause delay to get the stock to slowly drift downward to cover his short position, plain and simple.
