Y'all are bearish. I am bullish. I'm underwater as my average price is $3.80. But I think this company has a lot of assets and is in the best part of the music business right now. I added today and think the financials show the past better than the future. Let's remember that the assets that became Live Nation weren't exactly lighting the world on fire when Sill was rolling them up.
I'm bullish and invested. It's hard to tell whether the deal will go through but I like the business, I like what they are trying to do. Will it work? I don't know.
clever...so write to Gabe and ask him why he doesn't make a bid. Strauss is only in it for the money; Gabe clearly not. Does Steam have the currency to make an offer?
The stock has tripled in the last few years. By this time next year we'll be at $35 unless there is an interest rate debacle. Look at what's ahead: B3 and RDR3. The longer we wait, the bigger the installed base of new console owners. EA is mad not to buy TTWO out. The way TTWO works, Zelnick has little say in R* DLC; he has grabbled the Houser coattails and will sink or swim with them.
Sorry bears, but shorting this stock when the sector is going bananas made no sense & makes no sense. They continue to smash it. If people are smart they would ignore the usual guide down. Buyback authorized for 10M shares. I wonder at what price they'd pull the trigger. With stock options issuance, where will that leave the float?
some of us are under pressure today; we'll say nasty things. I didn't recall that it had been halted on the announcement before and I've been in the stock for a long time.
HAS it always been halted? I didnt recall. Then again I rarely have cared about earnings day...as I do today. I thought they did absolutely fine. They guided down...well isn't that the game of under-promise and over-deliver? And as we all know, you better damn well underpromise in this business because you just don't know. Surely Evolve sort of disappointed after getting such good press at trade shows. And why can't they make more from DLC for GTA 5? So many questions, but they have good assets & there are so few companies promising solid growth.
Well, whaddya think? I thought numbers were bomb, & promise of AAA title & buyback were sweeteners; moreover, gap between EA & TTWO is just too large. Either one falls or the other rises or a combo.
Post GTA syndrome! Oh here we go, back to 8! They have nothing. Agent is vapor after all; they did their best but their best wasn't good enough and here we are with no product, no future. Red Dead Restoration is 3 years away. The Housers are tired and weary of supporting Strauss & friends. EA is going to come with a quality NBA game. Borderlands 3 is borderline impossible to finish. Doomed. Zillions of shares being exchanged and the news isn't even out yet. And what about the converts? Why didn't they buy GLUU when I told them to? We'd be like a Firework then, not a dud. Oh no oh no oh no.
Why no R* game!??? An Agent license plate is in GTA 5 Online. Google it and watch the video that comes up.
OK, make your predictions, so we can look back at them and laugh. I predict Agent is not dead and will debut around Thanksgiving. I am scared that there will be no Rockstar game, just DLC, and that this news will doom the stock.
Look carefully at GLUU. They have multiple engines and the audience potential is just enormous. There is an ongoing shake-out in mobile because you need loads of marketing money to make it work. But GLUU has the right strategy and enough money.
