While the imperious Nero (head of the morality police and chief fear enforcer) was away a small, yet very inconvenient, fire broke out. Caligula, the inept, terse, narcissistic, self-aggrandizing minion, aka 'The Fool', took control. This ‘Fool’ (who is a legend in his own mind) stepped forth in his normal modus operandi of self-promotion and muddied the water. You would think that an organization such as TSYS would be mandated to do a better job at managing these types of events - apparently not. Leaving these nut jobs to their own devices is a recipe for disaster.
I was recently informed that a few years back there was a well drilled a team, and a plan, that would have managed this type of event, kept clam, organized and kept everyone concerned informed. What happened? Where did they go? Where’s the organization? Where has this knowledge, expertise and skill set gone? As a shareholder I’m concerned.
This company sure is bleeding good people. i have not seen so many established leaders leave a company of this size over a short period of time. they can't seem to hold on to them. The C level guys have been there forever, the working environment is good, although authoritarian with so many ex-military types? What's the scoop? are there fears about the viability of credit card usage a we enter a 2nd recession?
I am considering applying for a job at SVB. Can anyone tell me what it is like to work at SVB? What is the working environment like, co-workers, senior management, are there good areas, areas to avoid, any office politics, pettiness, etc?
Methinks you protest too much? You'll probably find that ssmoma is carefully and insidiously hiding there identity. TSYS has it's problems, like and company, some are market driven and others are caused by missmanagment. While the former is normal the latter is, IMHO and from what I have heard from employees working ther, abnormal. Exec's try hard. Unfortunatley some of there direct reports are less, well, perhaps
genuine. There is in some area's a vitriolic opressive management style akin to Caligua's regin in Rome!
Also, just to be clear cheerleader, there is NO OFFICAL language of the USA.
Be very wary of working for this company. There are some great hard working folk, but some of the management are legends in their own minds!! Sugar a spice on the outside, vinegar and spite on the inside. My cousins tell me that there's some bad under-currents flowing through in this company.
Management ain't that bright GaBoy. They have made some doozee decisions in the past!!They would be better off cutting some of the high end postions, some of these folks are overpaid and underworking achievers. When the layoff happens morale will sink, again, but eventually people forget and move on. The top guys have been here a long time now, perhas if they moved on the Co. would save a few bucks. There top heavy with Group execs, senior directors, and all. My family tell me this was a good company too work for, but no longer. Too much FUD about the cuts and who, for the Co. to be that productive right now.
They did layoff some 230 folk a few years back, the first clean up. Not a bad thing after 25 yeers. There are reports of 'stealth' layoffs every now and again. The benefits cluture and work ethic is mostly sound.
TSYS is a good company.
I worked there several yeers ago. The IT Dept is world class. The support teams are great. The sales side can be a bit 'flakey' but theyre still fine folk. Overall the company is good, and appear financially sound and made up of nice caring folk.
With a few noteable exceptions.
The ex-army wanna-be little genrals with way to much influence more concerned with self promtion, have I understand negatively impacted several teams and company morale. I still have family connections within the company who keep me current with the 'evil empire'. Akin to storm troopers was one term I heard used to discribe this regime...hahaha....dumbos!
