These companies are all blaming the strong U.S. dollar for missing estimates. What will be their excuse next year? Funny how companies like Apple and Cisco, etc. can still make their numbers and not blame currency issues. Horsepuckey I say. HPQ is mis-managed!
Huh? What am I missing here? I heard there is a 6 year backlog on production. And China? Don't even get me started on demand from China! I just don't get it.
I don't know if this has any bearing on it but my Fidelity research site shows numerous Form 4's filed by insiders in the past few days, options exercised and direct buy/sells up the ying yang. Maybe the timing is just incredibly bad going into this option expiration.
It hasn't acted like the typical pump and dump. Its been moving up since 1st of the year on large volume. Something is definitely going on behind the scenes and it is gathering interest. Every selloff is met with another leg up.
Every dog has its day! lol
Yes. This was flashing on Bloomberg TV this morning.
Temasek increased its stake in pharmaceuticals maker Gilead Sciences by 7.8 million shares to 20.6 million shares, helping increase the value of its stake by $584 million during the quarter, the filing shows.
Singapore’s state-owned investment firm first bought Gilead shares in the fourth quarter of 2013, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The stock has gained about 35 percent since the end of that quarter.
Bye Bye BABA!
We all know how this works. The media and the paid by thug publications come out, then the shorts jump in. Once they've done sufficient damage, they cover their short positions and the stock moves up substantially. As we are seeing to some extent the oil stocks today. That's short covering bringing up some of these oil stocks today. Wall Street is a bizarre and very unfriendly retail investor environment at times.
I think retail sales # will be the biggest driver tomorrow. We'll see. CSCO should give us a good open however if again John doesn't say something stupid at the cc. He's got a lot of heat on him lately so maybe we'll be okay.
