by froggnot •May 13, 2013 12:22 PMSo THAT is why MSNBC is covering the IRS thing in depth even to the extent that they already know that Obama had nothing to do with it. I must say it smells a bit like some of the things Nixon did to divert attention from Watergate.

by peppeek •May 10, 2013 2:07 PMricky, you know nothing about the hearings because you don't watch FOX News and that was the only station to broadcast the hearings. Had you listened you would know that there was a lot of new information and we have not heard the end of it yet.

Probably too many pills. What has my pills got to do with an all powerful Federal Government? You will probably blame it on the first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln; and you would be right. After the civil war SDF went out of style until 1956 when Federal law 32 USC was passed. As of 1995 21 states had a SDF. They were Alabama, Alaska, California, Indiana, Louisiana, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia and Washington. Two more have been added but I don't know what states they were. Most of the other states consider it from time to time but it is totally financed by the state so not very popular.

Sworn testimony IS evidence. Fox news was the only coverage of the Benghazi hearings so it is no wonder that you are still ignorant of what was testified. CNN doesn't want you to hear it. They are still claiming that it is a witch hunt rather than a which hunt. Obama is strangely silent but should be called to testify under oath. His whereabouts during the Benghazi attack is reminiscent of the missing minutes on Nixon's Watergate tapes.

Well at least FOX covered the Benghazi hearings for an hour and forty five minutes while the other so called news channels didn't cover it but only reported on it for a few minutes. We didn't need to believe what FOX told us; we heard straight from Thompson, Hicks, and Norquest everything they reported to Congress. All the news channels except FOX are reporting the hearings as a witch hunt when it is really a which hunt. I don't know why they need to investigate who ordered the troops to "stand down". An order like that could only come from the Commander In Chief. The phony cover up story about an offensive clip on the internet obviously was at least approved by Obama.

I don't think there is a sure thing in this economic environment but TRTC is in the right business. We are all going to have to start growing our own food when inflation really takes off.

In context of the post that I was referring to, a person who is glad to see his stock decline in value because, with his DRIP account, he will get more shares each time a dividend is paid. Now you have got to admit, that is different. There are degrees of long term investors and those that keep their funds invested in stocks that are trending up make very good sense to me. Those that have a DRIP Account in a declining stock seem strange to me.

Both T and VZ went up ten cents in the last six minutes of trading today. They both needed to, especially T that was down about twice as much as VZ. Friday is not a good day for recovery so we may have to wait until next week to get rich.

When was the last time AT&T did a split? Verizon is a much smaller company but it looks like they could use a split to make it cheaper than AT&T.

A DRIP Account reinvests dividends into the stock of the company into which the account is invested. So, if the stock price is low, lewcor gets more shares. Kind of a strange view but long term investors are a different kind of person. Of course they hope the price will be high when they want to cash out.
