OKay buddy, I bow to your superior intelligence which I must say dwarfs the knowledge of all the Phd's and security experts who are doing this thing, and putting all of us in jeopardy of identity theft.
If the device is stolen? There is also a biometric/password/failsafe mechanism to get in which the thief will not be able to.
There are people who are experts in this thing, and won't implement it unless its absolutely safer in protecting one's identity than the current scheme.
Just can't wait to post the Ho thing for you all.
It may not be that easy to steal it, if biometric info is not stored anywhere, but encrypted and decripted per transaction just like Apple pay.
Other than that, I don't see any reason to upgrade.
yawn. Just another expensive do nothing gadget.
Altera has only $2B in revenues. $15B is too much.
but Wall St will take the stock up, just to spite the shorts. Just watch.
No avenues for future growth, other than getting a monopoly in discrete graphics cards with Lisa Su as a partner.
Lisa's job is to lose marketshare to Nvidia. Once that is complete she'll leave. Rory's job was to transfer $$ from AMD back to the Arabs via GF which is private. Once his job was well done he left.
Other than Lisa getting a little something from Jensen for ceding marketshare to Nvidia.
By this time next year, Qualcomm will have to put up its chip division for sale to the Chinese and live on royalties. No money to be made on smartphone and tablet chips anymore.
Samsung not using Qualcomm modems in its flagship phones are really bad news. That says that everyone has caught up to Qualcomm in 4G LTE. The coming price war will cause Qualcomm to sell its SOC biz to some Chinese company sooner rather than later.
People are going to be on 28nm for a long long time. 20nm is a DUD and 16nm finfet is just too expensive for another couple of years. Except for Apple and Samsung who eat the high costs.
