What will Jensen think of next. Space?
It means AMD is FINITO in graphics. Nvidia is now a monopoly in discrete graphics.
Yeah, lets wait for next Q, AMD will have a killer graphics card. LOL.
to Nvidia and Intel last Q.
Put a fork in AMD's graphics.. It just has less than 20% of the discrete graphics marketshare.
Like I said Lisa Su will cede all the discrete graphics marketshare to Nvidia before leaving AMD with a job well done, and a little something from Jensen.
Intel now 72%, Nvidia 15%, and AMD 13%.
I thought they had given up development of x86 a long time ago.
If eASIC is integrating their technology on the same die as ARM, then its extremely likely they will use the same technology for Xeon.
Checkmate ARM.. Go read your semiwiki propaganda.
Probably some Caldexa servers which they got for free when Caldexa went bankrupt. Could also be SeaMicro ARM based servers which AMD gave away for free to paypal, so they could PR the heck out of it, trying to throw a scare into the stock market and Intel..
Or maybe its one of those going out of business give away's. Notice they said they got it for Cheap..
All Intel has to do is take out ARM and fill the gap with Xeon.. Buh Bye ARM.
with customizable lower power systems.
If there is a backdoor Intel will find it and shut it down for the competition.
Samsung and TSMC still haven't developed high yielding, high volume full FinFets. TSMC is still on 20nm planar, and Samsung has some hybrid FinFet/planar mix in their so called 14nm. TSMC will come up with their version of Finfet/planar mix sometime later this year.
Right on Bro.. eASIC's are a replacement for FPGA's in many applications but not all. Altera and Xlinix have their work cut out for them as is ARM which was trying to sneak into the customizable server market.
Samsung owns the high margin SOC ? Not for long.. Android based smartphones are soon to be a dime a dozen commodity product.
Apple will survive because of IOS and the halo effect.
