I've looked around and can't find this info....I know the company is splitting and a share of ABT will give one share of Abbvie. If Abbvie is selling at $35 currently, does that mean ABT will then be worth $35 (or $30?) post split as well? So someone who owned ABT at $65 now has $70 worth of stock? I appreciate your help in clearing this up! Take care
Couldn't pass up the free shipping since it usually costs 3X the actual product.
A 4 pack each of Sugar Free, Grapple and Regular. So far I have had the Grapple and it was pretty good.
Main point though, pre-Meissner, it took probably 2-3 weeks to get my product. Now, I ordered this on Saturday when the site was back up and I received it Thursday. Great packing job too. Very nice turnaround on this Jones...now if you could get overall sales going...
Wow...I can't say that I have really seen takeover offers at less than 50% of the current market value...unbelievable, but I guess nothing surprises me with Jones.
The fact that Ricci is considering this offer, of basically the cash they have on hand makes me wonder how weak Jones really is. It must really be pathetic to consider an offer at half your current value and at the cash you have on hand.. no wonder no insiders have bought this stock in over a year.
Should be interesting...glad I got out of this stock long ago. Good luck all!
I hate to say it, but I don't think this matters? I was a long time Jones holder and have watched their progress for at least the past 4 years.
People who play with Walmart do not make that much money. So, Jones is going there with a 6 pack of mixed Berry lem, creme soda and Green Apple. These are the same flavors that linger on every other shelf. I am not buying this Walmart thing.... Jones target market is now old enough to buy beer and if they can buy 6 bottles of good beer for $5.99 or 6 bottles of Jones for $5.99, I think a lot are choosing beer. Walmart is implementing a new Win-Play-Show strategy where they are reducing skus, tightening inventory and requiring their vendors to pay more promotional $...this is not good for Jones. They seem like they can never stick to a plan..
Jones is working this to get bought out....there is no other hope...not Jones Zilch, Not Gaba, Not 24C...
Joth got back to me last year before he was CEO and said that Jones only has pouring rights on one of the levels I believe. Something like the club level. They are only the official sponsor of the Trailblazers Fan, not the team. Weird, but true.
They were exclusive last year, but also this year as well. Straight from Jones' site:
Jones Soda Halloween Cans
Jones has introduced a line of spooktacular 8oz cans, to be found exclusively in the candy aisles of Target stores nationwide. These cans feature new flavors
Lemon Drop Dead
Do you guys even read these posts? All I was trying to say was that the so called, "Exclusive" Halloween cans to Target, were actually showing up in other venues. Damn you guys are pathetic on this board which is why I don't waste my time much here, because 99% of the time it is just that... a damn waste of time.
Wife was in King Soopers this evening (a Kroger company) and they had Target's "exclusive" halloween cans. 3 packs for $5. Not bad...but wonder how these leaked into these stores?
Looks like the Nets stadium and deal with Jones will eventually go through afterall, not that they are backed by a Russian Billionairre.
See the link...
Some future Russian exposure perhaps?
Same exact stuff from last year? You could have done better than that Jones, especially for the bottles.
This is probabaly all left over from last year's production...
I think they think it is junk... The CFO told me MONTHS ago in so many words that I should expect insider buying, once the blackout period was over. That never happend and still hasn't, so I sold off the majority of what I had back when the stock hit $1.30. Only 1,000 left for old times sake.
Take care and good luck!
A cool looking commericial, but horrible for Jones. Out of 23 seconds, they actual brand/product is shown for 1 second.... failure
Nice post...but you've been around long enough here...why would anyone buy them?
They can wait for them to go belly up and then buy their assets/patents in bankruptcy if they really want to.
Jones had a great thing going but completely screwed it up. Like I said, take a few guys on this board and put them together and we could have run this company better, all with normal jobs as well...
We are going to get the same ho hum meeting we always get....w/o one single question for any analysts. It will be over in 15 mins max...
I really wish they would break some of their businesses out more in depth. 24C, GABA, etc...but that would probably be too much work.
Still have some Jones, but not sure if I will hold through the call or not..
Alderson, I know you mentioned back when that after talking to a rep at the company it sounded like they would be buying their stock hand over fist. What ever happend to that?
I got the same vibe from the CFO and nothing...prety sad.
I recommended to them about 5 years ago to create a vending machine that would take your picture and create the label on the bottle right then and there. This would be incredible at sporting events, theme parks, etc... but nothing... the technology is there.
All they seem to want to do is create idiotic flavors and hope one of them sticks...
Seems like GABA is going the way of 24C.
We were actually there at the tailend of our trip flying out of Seattle from Alaska.
Stumbled upon the "Bite" and thought Jones might be there, but never made it completely around everywhere. I did see a roaming Ocean Spray guy walking around with a backpack spraying samples of their product to tons of people...
Went to the QFC there and was a little disappointed. From all the posts guys from Seattle had put in the past...
I found 3 flavors of GABA in the cold section only. Single faced... No Fuji Apple which I thought was their best seller? $2.99 reg on sale for $2.59
Saw my first can of Whoop A$$ ever with all the other energy drinks. Single faced.. $1.99 per can.
Had about 4-5 flavors of bottles, but nothing too special. Red Apple, Orange and Cream.. also had a few flavors in the cold section.
Their normal price is $5.49 for a 4 pack.. crazy!
Went to Pike's Place market...looked like a huge tourist spot with tons of restaurants, etc and didn't see any Jones.
That's about it! If Jones can't even have a decent presence in Seattle, it's scary for the rest of the country. :(
