I would guess that with the release of orkambi, there would be quite a few doctors visits that weren't in the normal schedule. That's just trying to put myself in the shoes of somebody that needs this drug.
I would assume there has been a fairly rapid uptake of Orkambi in the US. With a known patient population eager to start treatment with orkambi, the only hold up would be insurance, and I'm sure most insurance issues were worked through with Kalydaco use. Does anybody here have numbers on prescriptions filled?
That guy Fein at Wainwright has been hating on Vertex for years. It's almost like it has to be personal, like one of Vertex's people said something about his Momma. Jeeze!!! He comes up with a possible negative scenario, then writes about it like it's an absolute fact.
Cashbar1, These swings in price are typical and usual for Vertex, sometimes much more than whats going on now. I'd say the best way to handle it is to decide if you're willing to go through the roller coaster swings betting on approval of this combo, or not. These dips don't mean too much if you look at it like that. The sky isnt falling, and manipulation is usual throughout the market. Lighten up dude. I'm brtting Vertex will make much more money for me than it already has. I've been in since VX-950 was entering into trials.
I thought it was going to run up to 135 or more, but it wasn't because of Cramer. He's not worth listening to, in my opinion.I've seen Vertex go down on good news too many times, I'm just happy that didn't happen. FDA may very likely make a decision before July 5,we'll get motion before that I'm thinking
