Obama is doing this. He is saying one thing, but doing's all one big lie. CWA-AFLCIO at this point has got to know they've been lied to and hopefully they will get this straightened out. ALL corporations will be hit next year....they have no choice, it was passed on Oct 17 and has absolutely NO intent on giving anybody a choice. The union MUST stand up on this one if they're ever going to stand up on anything. We are all about to get dumped onto a #$%$ plan with our premiums tripled.
THIS is what unions were founded on and if they can't get on board on this and do something about this.......there will never be a use for any union again. This is just awful and I see Obama as an enemy in every sense of the word. We will either do without insurance and pay the fine or our union will "deliver a strong message" to this tyrannical dictator in the White House.I can march and protest, all I need is to get the call and I have together at least 50 Telephone Pioneers who have said they are ready as well, we're just waiting to get the call. Call us CWA--we're not new to picketing and this is definitey worth our time--we will be glad to help. At this point in our lives, we have less and less to live for and losing healthcare that is affordable and good insurance is the last straw. Old people are the best protestors because we have so little to lose. We will be good for the union.I'm putting this out here because they're not calling us and we're available for this cause.
Sentiment: You'd be a fool not to hold right now because the federal reserve is easing 85 Billion dollars per MONTH into the stock market. The market should be at 40,000 instead of 15,000.Janet Yellen said if qe (quantative easing) were stopped right now, this country would fall apart (my interpretation of what she said). FYI-the US dollar is on the verge of collapse, in case you're not paying attention to Saudi Arabia, China, and Russia. The feds can't print money when the dollar is ousted.

Those of us who retired SBC/ATT should be fine as we still have our insurance from ATT. If you're on Medicare, your ATT is your secondary. We all should be fine. The others speaking here...I assume are not former or current employees of SBC/ATT. We already have good insurance thanks to our union, whether you're management or union, the union sets the standard. Most all of us are investors or at least own stock from our working days......I assume everyone else is not or never have been employed by SBC/ATT and are investors or curious. I am thankful for great insurance and I believe we have CWA to thank for standing up for retirees' benefits. I am sorry for everyone who feels they have no choice but Obamacare. I've read the law and I know what's in it and that it's something I am thankful I will not be forced to take. Retirees, if for some reason you dropped your insurance and thought your premium was too high, call might be surprised what they'd say to you, or not. Just call.Do not get yourself stuck with Obamacare insurance when you can do better.
As for the stock market, during the last shut down, the market went up as it is doing now. I would not have more or less concern because of the shut down. The average person will never know it's shut down.

You don't have to wear that shoe for the rest of your life. We're talking about a lot more than a shoe here. You get what you pay for and if you pay very little, you'll get very little. It's too bad no one is actually talking about what's in the law and what is expected and what is set in stone. There is a reason for much the darn bill and see what you're signing on will get something, but likely nothing what you're expecting. There is a good reason Congress WILL NOT sign onto Obamacare..........they don't want's a last resort....not like a shoe, more like an aspirin.
Doctors who are specialists will be paid as primary care doctors, according to the there goes your specialists over time, no specialization. So much more, do read the's truly unbelievable!

Harry wants his Cadillac insurance plan and refuses to sign up for Obamacare, as all democrats know what it actually is about. BEWARE: Once you OPT in, you're in for life and you CANNOT get out. OK. You say, well, I just won't pay! OH YES you will because the IRS has the authority to go into your accounts and all assets and take them for Obamacare--WITHOUT A WARRANT-AND YOU CANNOT SUE THEM. That is all in the law in plain English. If it goes up from 250.00 to 500.00 next year, tough, you can't get out of it. There's much more in the would behove anything signing up to read the bill...this law will not go to distance to take care of you, it is limited.......the death panels, committees kick in. If the IRS deem it will take too much money to save you, they will give you counseling to help you accept your situation and give you a pain pill and help you die. They will even help you fill out your will. --Do you see why Harry doesn't want to sign on to this?

far left angry one, Bill O'Reilly's message board is NOT like this one--it is not FREE. It is a paid board and his board is monitored. His team did not post the final numbers until they were sure what happened. He stands by those numbers. You are welcome to join his forum if you do not call people names and you have proof to back up what you're saying to be truth. If you do not, you will be restricted from the posting sight. He does not permit ugliness, just proven truthes and facts. Your opinion is also welcome, but he likes for a detailed explanation of your opinion and why you think you are correct. It's a very interesting board. I highly recommend it if you actually care to hear both sides of a subject. You can have only one user name and that is also monitored. You have to give a great deal of information about yourself and that is also back checked, such as your credit card and the general area from which you are posting.

Whopper, if you don't understand how OIL/GAS affects communications circuits, you should excuse your ignorance from this board. We do not trade T stock on this board, nor is it legal to give information that is private and confidential. It's a "free" board and you are here for no cost to you. Get yourself a good broker or financial planner if you're looking for specific information and those people held responsible for the information they provide you, however, you are looking in the wrong place for exclusive inside information. What it is you are looking for, will not be found here. If you don't understand the significance or the relevance of everything, then study and find out for yourself. Just know this: everything government is relevant to T. T thrives at the grace of the federal government. It can be taken down by the stroke of a pen, which DID happen, and it can be revived by the stroke of a pen and an approval by the FCC (that's federal communications commission), whose head is appointed by the president of the U.S. SBC did get approval to buy T and won the bid for T. That revival of T (which is actually SBC who chose to take on the T brand for reasons beneficial to SBC), was made possible by the U.S. federal government. The old T was taken apart in 1984 by the federal government in 1984.
As I have pointed out, everything government is related to T and T's circuitry as T circuits monitor these pipelines and alarms if there is a problem. T does so much more which I don't care to discuss on a forum where there are people who don't have a clue about communications, except they have learned to push buttons to trade or short the stock.

    From Bill O'Reilly's message board:

Most everyone suspected fraud, but these numbers prove it and our government and media refuse to do anything about it.

As each state reported their final election details, the evidence of voter fraud is astounding. Massive voter fraud has been reported in areas of OH and FL, with PA, WI and VA, all are deploying personnel to investigate election results.

Here are just a few examples of what has surfaced with much more to come.

    * In 59 voting districts in the Philadelphia region, Obama

received 100% of the votes with not even a single vote recorded for

Romney. (A mathematical and statistical impossibility).

    * In 21 districts in Wood County Ohio, Obama received 100% of

the votes where GOP inspectors were illegally removed from their

polling locations - and not one single vote was recorded for Romney.

    (Another statistical impossibility).

    * In Wood County Ohio, 106,258 voted in a county with only

    98,213 eligible voters.

    * In St. Lucie County, FL, there were 175,574 registered

eligible voters but 247,713 votes were cast.

    * The National SEAL Museum, a polling location in St. Lucie

County, FL had a 158% voter turnout.

    * Palm Beach County, FL had a 141% voter turnout.

    * In Ohio County, Obama won by 108% of the total number of

    eligible voters.

NOTE: Obama won in every state that did not require a Photo ID and lost in every state that did require a Photo ID in order to vote.

    Imagine that!

  • Valero Energy Corp. has secured a permit from the U.S. Commerce Department to ship crude oil from the Gulf Coast to its plant in Quebec as part of a plan to lower the cost of its feedstock.

Most of the crude will come from South Texas' Eagle Ford Shale and will displace the light, sweet crude that Valero now buys from Europe and Africa.

Shipping Eagle Ford oil from the Gulf Coast to Valero's 265,000-barrel-a-day plant near Quebec City will cost about $2 a barrel less than shipping crude across the Atlantic, Valero spokesman Bill Day said.

“The permit would bring additional Eagle Ford crude to Quebec, and there is a lot of Eagle Ford crude,” Day said.

Exporting crude from the United States is prohibited without a Commerce Department permit, Day said. That Valero got the OK “demonstrates the amount of domestic crude that's produced now.”

A call to the Commerce Department as to the total number of permits issued wasn't immediately returned.

Valero's one-year permit was valid starting in November, but the company hasn't made a major shipment to Quebec yet, Day said.

U.S. crude production gains have mostly come from the Bakken and Eagle Ford shale formations in North Dakota and South Texas, according to Energy Department data.

U.S. crude being shipped to Canada would displace light, sweet oil from West African nations such as Nigeria and Angola, Amrita Sen, chief oil market analyst for Energy Aspects Ltd. in London, told Bloomberg News.

“We're going to see more volumes shipped to Canada” from the Gulf Coast, Sen said.

Valero's refineries in Three Rivers, Houston, Corpus Christi and Meraux, La., now process Eagle Ford crude, Day said. Also, the company is shipping about 40,000 barrels a day of Bakken crude to its Memphis refinery by a circuitous route that takes it by rail to Louisiana and then via pipeline to Memphis.

“Even that is less expensive than buying imported crude,” Day said.

Valero also is considering shipping Bakken crude to its California plants, he said.
I can't put anything else to reference this or Yahoo won't publish this. I don't understand this. You be the judge. This all happened while we were worrying about the Fiscal Cliff. The president signed off on this as the article said. Is the Transcontinental Pipeline for bringing IN oil or taking OUT oil? Do we not need the "work" in the US? Isn't that what the TCP is all about? Makes no sense. You be the judge.

Is it time we Punish Single Women?

    by robfisk Dec 6, 2012 8:35 PM
windyfrostt windyfrostt Dec 8, 2012 1:24 PM Flag

If Sharia law should ever become the law of the land, single women would no longer be a problem, nor would homosexuals, nor would thieves or liars. I'm told they have strong "penalties" for such situations. When the Iranian president told Columbia University students, "There are NO homosexuals in Iran", he wasn't lying. However, I have friends who lived extensively in the Middle East and the women from Americans lived in a certain compound while their husbands worked in the oil industry, they were asked to act and do certain things which they respected, and these women say you could not expect any people to be nicer or more respectful anywhere in the world. One friend told me she wanted to live there and not come back to America. Many of the Americans had lived there for more than twenty years and raised their children there. They provided help to clean their homes and do their clothes. The wives virtually had to do nothing but raise their children, which they also were provided babysitters to help. They provided Christian pastors and churches to worship their Christianity and did not interfere with their beliefs in any way. However, haven't talked to her lately. I do assume she will defend the Middle East and their way of life.
She clearly did love those people and had no problem with their requirements. It was a "live, and let live" situation. However these women followed "their rules". They had drivers appointed for them and they did not go out shopping alone. They always wore scarves on their heads, and they did not use profanity or speak loudly or obtusely. They did not speak to other men in a "chatty way", if at all, and basically the women just did what they wanted to Saudi Arabia was where these families worked and lived for the time I have knowledge. I once asked the one friend if she was ever afraid, and she said Never. She said nothing was ever stolen from her or her home, and she felt safer there than in the United States. Her husband retired from the oil company and they had to come back to the U.S. facing taxes, mortage payments, doing her own housework, and having to drive to the grocery store and worry about getting mugged or hit by a drunk driver.

Tax churches that run non-church businesses

    by windyfrostt Dec 8, 2012 11:59 AM
windyfrostt windyfrostt Dec 8, 2012 12:12 PM Flag

I meant to say leased from Trinity Episcopol, not leased "to" point is that church is making a fortune off of non church business and pay not one dime in taxes. They are fat cat churches, at our expense.

  • There are millions, if not billions, of tax dollars that could help this country that are in the name of churches, but actually have nothing to do with religion other than the tax-exempt status they have.
This is wrong. I've thought so for years, but at this difficult time in history, I believe it is time to say this and get it out there because I know many other Christians who feel the same but are afraid to say.
Since every entity that signs up for tax exempt status gets that status, no one knows for sure how much money they are making and how much in tax revenue would be owed to the local, state, and federal governments. One huge example I will give: TRINITY EPISCOPOL CHURCH IN NYC, own ALL of Manhattan, NY. Wallstreet, what was the twin towers, all the major banks there in the financial district,
is leased to Trinity Episcopol Church NYC. The church "got" this land early on in somewhat of a controversial way (stole it probably), and leases it out. How many millions of dollars do you think this church owes if a new law separating these entities as businesses would bring in? This church exists for the sole purpose of leasing this property in Manhattan. That's just one. Think of all the churches that own businesses in the name of "church" that do not conduct worship services or bury their dead on that land. It's huge. Yet, we say nothing. It has caused much bitterness over the years. It is time the churches have church, and have true separation of church and state. I believe it could be the answer to many problems. I bring this up because one of my old telephone friends just married a minister, and they are using their "tax exempt status" to start a business. She feels as long as it's going to the church (and into their pockets, some not all because she is investing some of her inheritance in it), that it's OK and that I'm terrible to say it is not a good thing.

No, I'm not an idiot. Soros is a multi-billionaire with an interest in One World Order and puts most of his money in that direction. He took down the pound sterling in London and was kicked out, and is not allowed in France was trying to take down their currency. He has been on national television and explained himself, with no remorse. Perhaps you should do more reading to see that it is entirely in line with Soros' actions. Do not call someone else an idiot merely because you do not want a statement to be true, but read and find something that would prove me wrong. You will not be able to. It shows you are are smart enough to prove yourself, but call someone names merely because you are inept. Not Sufficient. I stand by my post.
