But please there is no such thing as a “No Brainer” or using last chance gets a little old, that is a pump & dump phrase.
For Transparity, I did buy a few more shares yesterday,

Laura. I am sorry but you credibility is NOW gone on your comments here; you are once again using the phrase “NO BRAINER”. You have repeatability over the last year stated in posts “last chance to get in under $4.00, perhaps prompting people to buy, who are now sadly selling out. You used the news about the new ships, like they were going to rain immediate money, not understanding how long, at least 9 months, it would take to help the bottom line or how long it would take to retrofit and deliver these ships. Now you are somewhat changing your tune, that you are in for the long haul and there is no mention of “last Chance”. Which I might even say at $3, it might be.

There is another shipper “NM” Navios Maritime who has a small interest in ULTR arena, which I did own, that has gone from $3 to over $10 in the last year, I am sorry but ULTR has been a terrible disappointment and investors should be made aware it’s history, which has not been a “No Brainer” as you have been saying over the last years.

    Her are the dangers
#1 Petro bras, which most of ULTR ships are leased to, is controlled by the Brazilian government, who is in a very difficult financial problem, anything could happen there. PBR’s stock hit a recent low for a reason.
#2 Vale (VALE) who ULTR has contracts for shipping Iron ore, is dependent on China’s economy, question mark, VALE’s stock recently hit yearly lows also. Without China there is very little moving of Iron ore.
#3 True the crops are great, but the river level can change very quickly, and who knows what can go wrong along the river route with most of the South American countries in turmoil.
Now after all this is said, I believe ULTR has a lot up their sleeve which is not mentioned. With the barge building experience, they have already now mentioned the building of Push Boats, with the hint of building ocean going feeder boats. This could possibly be the home run, added to everything else, that could make this company a real winner

    Sentiment: Buy

The only way we will see if there is a big difference and who is in charge, will be if they prove it with results, as there is no good history here yet, only hope. My point is all the pumping here lately has just confused some investors with this current value, if it was a sure thing as some have said it would not be at $3.00. I sill believe in the long run it will be a winner, just using moderation.

    Sentiment: Buy

  • Not that I agree with the negative comment listed below, put out today by Zacks regarding ULTR, but the point is several here have pumped this stock for the last 9 months as a no brainer. As I stated before this stock has had a terrible history of producing a profit and despite all the positives mentioned, it will take omly earnings to make this stock move. Sadly, Laura, you have been way to early on this stock, there is no such thing as a sure thing, By hindsight we could of done way better on most DBI shipping stocks, which of course this shouldn't even be lumped in with, but it is because most don't even know what ULTR is involved in.
Why "Zachs" is putting this statement out could certainly be for the opposite purpose, some one wants it driven down for a purpose. Just perhaps, now it could be a time to nibble.

Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Limited (ULTR) could be a stock to avoid from a technical perspective, as the firm is seeing unfavorable trends on the moving average crossover front. Recently, the 50 Day Moving Average for ULTR broke out below the 200 Day Simple Moving Average, suggesting short-term bearishness.

This has already started to take place, as the stock has moved lower by 8.8% in the past four weeks. Plus, the company currently has a Zacks Rank #4 (Sell) meaning that now could definitely be the time to get out of this potentially in-trouble stock.

congratulations on understanding who is the real #$%$ destroying this country, Obama is the man

  • Just another paid hype by Tobin Smith, ask him how his last #1 pick did (BMIX) pumped at $0.80, target $4.00, now $0.14. Oh I forgot this is his new #1,

I applaud your conviction on this stock, but revenue and out look is not going to get us where we should be on this stock. I have followed this stock from the beginning and they have mostly disappointed, it is going to be earnings that will get this stock where we believe it is headed, there has always been a story here. I notice you and several have pumped this stock 6-8 months ago stating last chance to see it in the mid 3's, and this has whip sawed a few to loose money. In all honesty this earnings is what I expected and what you should of tempered your posts to, as it was evident all the new ships and contracts were not going to do much to the bottom line now, along with this being the slow period, it will take another 6 months. I still believe it will see $10.00 but it will take time, I suggest everyone listen to the conference call and see if they mention the new ocean feeder ship building that has been quietly mentioned in the past, this would be a real plus now that they have the experience building barges. Just my take, also very positive but tempered.

Listed as March 14 after market close, according to TD Ameritrade

  • where this is headed, my thinking was correct" MARUY" wasn't buying 30,000 shares every couple of days for nothing, they now own 20 %. Sorry non-believers.

    having a bad day moron.

  • Here he goes again, another Tobin Smith scam, this guy has no creditability other than a pump and dump record. Just look at "BMIX" that he was paid to send thousands of mailers to people, while he was pumping this stock at $1.00 with a target price of $3.78 and then dumping this stock. Ask him what the price is today, $0.08. And this fraud can't make a follow up on what happen like a real man.

Like clock work another 30,000 share block purchased on 2/14 by "MAURY" on this stock, are you people sure of what you are saying on this board. This sure looks like some thing is up to me.

  • wjc900 wjc900 Feb 16, 2014 9:26 PM Flag

Suggest you check out (MAURY) who is every couple of days buying 30.000 shares at a time ( regardless of stock prices, which tells me this is not for a paper investment), they are a well healed company in a lot of business and it looks like an accumulation for a buy out. I would say they are a lot smarter than any of us. I just might buy options after checking out "MAURY". Take a look and give your observation here.

  • wjc900 wjc900 Feb 15, 2014 8:29 AM Flag

Just a guess, but they probably believe this will be bought out shortly, so they would like to get their hands on cheaper stock, everyone has an angle. I see insider trades several times a week, all in 30,000 share quantity, from a Japanese company "MAURY". They must have a standard running buy order to be accumulating this stock with a possible take over coming. Only a guess from me, don't take it to the bank.
