Went to Yemen a couple of years ago. Interesting place, good food, pleasant people. However I couldn't leave my office or hotel without two guys with guns
It is going to be on the forefront of the war about water. 40% of their water goes to irrigate khat -- a mild optiate.
I checked the website today -- same lies. I think this means the disinformation was intentional. How sleazy
Wow! Congratulations. I felt pretty smug about my $7.01 buy yesterday. I bet the folks who sold to us are kicking themselves.
I never get terribly bothered about these flights to cash panics. There is no where else to go - with bonds how getting less than 2%. All that cash has to go somewhere -- back into equities.
Tuesday, Sept 8. I am a patient wobbleman.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
On WallStreetPoints she writes about Navios Maritime Partners (NMM) having high volume. Then she talks about Navios Holding declaring a 6 cent dividend without noting its different ticker (NM), implying the NMM has seriously cut its dividend.
She didn't technically tell a lie, However, anybody but the most careful reader would be misled. Maybe she helped me get into a stock with a stupendous dividend, though.
This seems ridiculously oversold - so this retail investor is in when there is blood on the streets. Thankfully, I had some dry powder in my Roth accounts, and bought several thousand.
At 7.01, the yield for a 1.77 dividend is a ridiculous 25%. Even if they cut the dividend to a more sustainable 65% of this figure, as the Market Realist article suggests may happen, the yield at a 7.01 pps is 15%.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
My apologies, Samuel. I thought your numbers were for IMH, not OCN.
There are people on some of the other boards of stocks I own that do make up numbers.
Have the buyers who ran it up May-July gotten bored -- with no approvals coming out of the FDA?
It certainly is frustrating. We have submissions that date back to 2010.
kompressor: Your shorts must be giving you a real wedgie to be spouting off lies like that: Here are the facts:
1) Tomorrow is Saturday. We won't be seeing trading on the new shares until Monday
2) NYSE de-listing price rule is less than $1 for 30 consecutive trading days, and even that is not automatic.
3) The reverse split is not a contrivance, but a planned action to get the price up to a level that fund managers and institutions are allowed to buy. Many have rules against buying stock that is priced at less than $10. I'm sure than many have their fingers on the trigger to get those juicy dividends that ARR is now covering.
Speaking of covering -- you better cover today.
@showme -- No 130% yield. Yahoo has just made the mistake of showing the post-RS dividend, and dividing it by the pre-RS price. If something looks too good to be true, it probably isn't true.
TRIB suspended the troponin trials last September in order to be in step with the FDA. I am sure the FDA is now satisfied with the sample size. Why smaller than for drugs? -- you are not looking for things like safety, side effects, and disease progression. There are existing troponin tests that the TRIB test can be compared against for sensitivity and specificity.
Not bashing -- I am long. However, FDA submission is just the beginning. I have stock in IG, a little generic topical manufacturer. They have about 30 "Abbreviated New Drug Approval" application into the FDA. One was just approved that was submitted in 2010. Keep in mind that these are drugs that have come off-patent, and have therefore been in use for 17 years.
Don't hold your breath
On the other hand -- they are profitable, paying a modest dividend, and have cash -- an ideal take-over target.
Sure -- it is tempting to take profits. However, this competent little company is poised to soar from here:
1. Just busted earnings projections
2. Have proved they can make a profit, even with limited products (7?)
3. ANDA approvals will start rolling in.
4. So good at what they do that other companies are paying them to do joint ANDAs
I don't have any basis to give a real target of future prices, but think it foolish to jump out now.
